The issue with the team is Tepper…

Literally everyone minus Simms had him the top prospect.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

That guy is broken.  He can't handle anything positive about Young.  Schefter linked the Texans to wanting him and a majority of the former GMs/Analysts had him ranked one.  I think Brugler did like Stroud better, but had Young right behind him.  You even have Texans players talking about how happy they are they won that game last year and had Stroud fall to them.  It's painfully obvious, but he refuses to admit it.

Nicole had a similar rapport with Stroud. He even referred to her as "Mama Tepp".

I don't really buy into the idea that Nicole has any major influence on the team. To be honest, it isn't necessary.

Her husband having influence is enough.

Doesn’t fit his narrative, so it’s impossible

This is the same person who attacked Verge for Weeks in her pre draft tidbit threads that she knew nothing when she said even as far back as combine/pre pro day that we were targeting Bryce.

Heck, dude’s profile pick is Byron Bell 2.0 that we took top 10 and his LG has looked worse than Michael Jordan ever was.

It’s like watching a guy with a Remmers profile pick trying to go around threads bashing other players.  He appears to be a state fan so he’s got to be a miserable human being.

I'm talking about analysts and former GMs who release their draft boards.  Relax man you are becoming the new ripadon on here stuck on repeat.  We also have insiders who know waaaaay more than some dude crying about busts with an Icky avatar (seems a little ironic given his current play) on a Panthers message board.  You keep doing you though.

His profile pick is a OT that we took top 10 but hasn’t looked any better than Byron Bell, Cam Erving, or any of those other slappys.   And his LG Zavala has graded out as the worst OL in franchise history which includes Remmers, Matt Kalil, etc.

He attacked Verge for weeks back as far back as the combine when she mentioned that she heard we were targeting Bryce.

It’s like he couldn’t wrap his head around it.  But his profile pick explains it all.

Sorry guys, the one and only person we can’t get rid of and fire is David Tepper.

Franks presser says it all and Dan Patrick’s take on it is spot on, we have a meddling owner who doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing, overriding the Football people who are telling him otherwise. Frank wanted Stound(who I also wanted) Tepper want Young and that’s why we are in this mess!

Dysfunction. The same crap Snyder had for the 25+ years he owned in Washington . Tepper is from the same mold. This team will never be good until he is no longer the owner.

You thinking a Clausen pic is serious shows how clueless you have become.  At one point you were a decent poster.  Can you show me where Bryce Young hurt you?

I really dislike Tepper but is he also forcing the playcalling?

Also sounds like Frank signed up for the same thing he was running from in Indy? That is freaking crazy to me.

All of this reaks but I love that they are already getting away from the BS they were selling about what went down and getting to how this all went so sideways. This isn't going to drag out over years at this rate, not as the worst team and no #1 pick. Tepper will always be Tepper but he looks set up to take a beating publicly now and if at the end he let's people do their job then it is beyond worth all the BS.

I’m not happy with Tepper because he kept Marty who gave us Rhule and Fitterer who gave us Frank and is a bad GM, but man this is scapegoating IMHO.

Feels like media is trying to turn Tepper into Dan Snyder since there’s a void now of a terrible meddling owner.

I watch Frank’s presser and see an owner who wants his head coach, who promised playoffs, to explain why we are about to be 0-6. That seems reasonable to me. Instead that simple presser has turned into Frank wanted Stroud, which seems complete BS since other people told us he wanted AR and Tepper shoved Young down his throat. Seems like Frank and Fitt’s buddies are trying to save their asses.

It is funny though to now see hurdlers saying Frank wanted Stroud since he’s doing the best when all along the draft everything was Young and that the staff liked AR second.

The last part. How much is he micromanaging? IDK but it looks bad and eerily similar to the Rhule times even with better coaching. It's not just one guy but that was a giant move and the easist thing to zoom in on and evaluate. He sounds worse than feared.

I'm not sure the coaching is any better. Nothing out there looks any better. And I really hated the Rhule years here.

There's a dysfunction in this team and it has existed through three coaching changes, untold QB changes, changes to defensive philosophy (this is our second attempt to move to a 3-4 defense), a change of field surface, and I really think that it all started back with the change in ownership.

If you can start missing the days of Rivera, Hurney and Richardson, it really doesn't speak well of the current days.

    • You literally did it right there and didn't even remember it. Sorry long Friday.
    • TMac to finish up Feels good after pads came on. Physicality is a little different, playstyle is a little different. Refs let the players play, so he has to earn his stripes to get calls and just has to be better playing through contact. Focusing on staying confident and listening to coaches. Not much has changed for him, still trying to be his authentic self. Was asked about boxing practice he was seen doing. He's done that since he was a kid because his dad was a boxer and taught his siblings. Was the youngest and got beat up the most, but now he's the fourth of sixth children. Boxing helps with his cardio and being reactive with his hands to the ball + DB. Admits to struggling the first couple of days, hats off to the DB corps for making him better every single day but had his best day on Wednesday. Even the best get got. Just have to remain confident in preparation and abilities. Confidence will take you only so far, and that's where his resilience plays a factor. XL is authentic and great to have in the room. Can rely on him to be the same guy every day. They make each other better. Everybody feeds off of each other and when one person wins they all win. Happy to be a part of the receiver room. Was asked about how he was laughing harder than everybody else at XL getting his feet in the water off the back of the boat: "Man he needs to be stopped bro... He can't be serious but he was serious. It's all good." Playing against the increased amount of press he's facing in practice is helping him get more physical. His job is to catch the ball, so if it touches his hand he has to come down with it. Only catches with one hand if he needs to, but that gives the QB a bigger catch radius. Had a pregame routine where he did a 360 one-handed catch, but doesn't do it anymore. Working on being a pro: Getting into the facility early and getting treatment, eating better, etc. Just wants to win re: rookie goals. Anything he can do to help the team win. "I'm looking for to the season man and keep pounding."
    • DJ Wonnum up next Felt the defense came out ready to work at all levels and took over practice. New standard around here. Young guys have to know they're coming in to work. Last year was not the standard. Nic and Princely are fun. Different personalities but loves what they bring to the room. Sky is the limit for them. Nic sits next to Wonnum, Princeley sits next to Jones II. Allows them to be better mentors. Feels great and ready to go Incoom's athleticism allows him to bend and get low even to compensate for not being the biggest guy. Can set the edge. EDGE guys are helped when the ILBs can get home because it allows them to be a little more free while still in scheme. DB being back means his dominance is back. Can set the edge from the 3 or wherever he's at to make the runs bounce to the EDGE guys. Winning mentality and standard this year. Championship level from practice to how you live off of the field. Accept greatness and excellence with guys wanting to come to work every day. Not settling for anything less. Been in guys' shoes that are fighting for roster spots so he knows how to address them. Remembers not knowing what's next, especially as a rookie. Have a clear mind and ask the older guys a lot of questions. Has a good relationship already with Pat Jones II due to knowing each other and talking football all of the time. Can make hand gestures and know immediately what to adjust. Taking care of his body and excited to start the season. Getting it acclimated to football again by being able to tackle and bring players to the ground. Didn't know they were playing live tomorrow. Don't tell me it'll be "thud." Browns next week will allow them to hit somebody else and get a feel of what a different team is doing. Also allows the team to see where they're at on offense and defense. Ready to play football. Not worried about the QB matchup for Cleveland, going to play hard regardless of who is back there.
