Bryce hangs in there. Look when he starts his throw. He completes this ball to Thielen who you can see just about to come across the logo. Watch his feet too

The amount of negativity in here is astonishing. There are a lot of problems with this team but the more I watch Bryce, he ain’t one of them. He’s going to be a baller.

We traded our best WR we had in years (while people complain about Bryce not having weapons) next years first and more to draft a QB at 1 whom we are hyping in this very thread for a "big time throw" of 15 yards.

With those circumstances you're gonna see some positivity and negativity. That's life.

Surprised how typical this looks actually. These were the first three I saw on the Next Gen Stats twitter page. Hurts made deep attempts but only two more 20+ yard completions than Young:

Well, Daniel Jones is terrible and the Giants have the worst OL in the league. Purdy is a system guy surrounded by elite talent. Hurts chucked two 40+ and completed two 25+. You don't have to air it out all game long. We saw the heating Cam took with Shula trying to do that. But offense is a lot easier if you establish a viable vertical threat and without it you better have elite weapons with a QB that has elite accuracy and anticipation. Maybe Bryce could do that with the right supporting cast in the right system but it's going to be very difficult to recreate what the Niners and Dolphins have built.

Brock Purdy without McCaffrey will be interesting to check in and see how he's doing.

2023 Daniel Jones is horrific and a cautionary tale for anyone developing a young QB. Daboll's status as the next hot name has pretty much cratered.

Hurts is still probably the best the NFC has to offer but not in last years form. He's middle the pack in completion % but still within the top 11 in both YPA and YPG.

Bryce Young is 24th in completion % 33rd in YPA and 22nd in YPG.

Individual game charts only tell part of the story unfortunately and are often used here to cope.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
