People (in other places) have a difficult time distinguishing if Charlotte is in NC and Charleston is in SC; they get'em reversed. Evidently, they don't teach History OR Geography in school any more.

The standardized tests are all about English, Science and Math so a lot of schools do not see the need.

When you look at industry and its relation to teams like Steelers and Packers and then think NC, you have things like past industries, tobacco, furniture, textiles, current ones like banking, research triangle, NASCAR, and then military bases.

Also, as mentioned, BBQ, moonshiners and chicken/pig farming are still viable.

Not sure we can get our name from industry, like the Steelers or Packers. So, we pick an animal I guess.

Still better than calling the team "spirit" or "blaze" or "concious" made that last one up.

I always thought something to play on the fact that Fort Bragg and other major millitary bases were in the state would be cool. Like Carolina Combat or Carolina Force would be good. Always wanted to see a team go with a camo based uni, of course Nike did it with some colleges on a one-off look that was pretty sick. Or the fact that the region has a major rail road presence, CSX and the NS run through Charlotte and all through the Carolinas, perhaps a tie in to that. Maybe the Carolina Express, (since we already took one USFL name, why not).

      3rd and Chandler Zavala.......... Id toss in Yohsi or Brano/DJ Johnson if that's what it took to get the trade done.    Bungals need OL B-A-D   Its un-godly to treat a unique HOF level level like Burrow with the OL they have and seems going to this year. People forgot during that bungal SB year, Burrow was sacked like 62 times and I believe had the highest hurries as well. They should be in jail for this, no memeing....

      I will admit this- Kon doesn't look or play like a 19 year. Much bigger and filled out than I thought he was. Plus initiate the offense during his best quarter and he did make some good passes for FG attempts.   I watch NBA years ago and was a top 3 fantasy yahoo managers for years. Many times a player had like 30 points, it mostly came from one or 2 hot quarters. The others were 5 and 0, so his 16 point game is normal in that regard.    If Ball, bridges, and Miller allow Kon to be apart of the team, just depends on if he clicks of not. Another generic white guy comp popped in my head........he of hornet lore-Gordon Hayward 15 points 5 rebs 3.5 asst Maybe??
