Been here since 2012, but got a new name.  And I agree, picks don’t equal success.  Unfortunately free agents don’t either with fitts track record—but they should be much easier to hit on.

Fanbase screaming for picks but ignoring the GM who makes those picks.

poo is hilarious!

Luvu is more important to the defense right now. He should be paid first. Burns should have been sent packing last year but fitterer is incompetent and here we are

Luvu without Burns will receive double teams. Be careful what you ask for. Burns is on every teams gameplan. Luvu is not.

Luvu plays drop back coverage as well. He was deflecting passes this past Sunday. A pass rusher like Burns is definitely more valuable than a LB like Luvu, but that’s not the trade off. Lucy’s contract would be a fraction of Burns. As I stated earlier it would look like Brown, Luvu, plus a little more and the draft picks vs Burns. That’s the debate.

Exactly. DE is a more premium position but burns doesn't play it well enough to hold the team hostage and want the type of money he wants. Although fitterer refusing to trade him last year only helped burns' cause

If we trade him it’s probably in the offseason via tag and trade like the Bengals will do with Higgins. I think we aren’t giving away premium players right now. We want to keep some stability around Young and see if we can get some rhythm and more wins IMO.

I don't think we'll trade him just because it would be a major blow to fitterer's credibility

Burns is a one trick pony. Luvu plays hard every down

Why hasn't Luvu made the pro bowl?

Why wasn't Luvu on the top 100 players list?

This is the type of stuff that bothers me. People will question the players who actually put in the work for several years and give the credit to the dudes who just started playing well.

Be careful what you ask for.

It's been said to death at this point, but I'll say it again... I've never seen a d-lineman play the run worse than him.  He is simply not worth premier pass rusher money.  If he can be traded for significant compensation before the deadline he should.  Probably isn't gonna happen though.

He's not a run d stopper. He's a pass rusher.

If you want a run d stopper should have signed Clowney.
