Josh Dobbs - Starting QB worthy?

  1. 1. Who else would rather get Josh Dobbs here to be our QB next year so we can be competitive?

Seeing that Josh Dobbs can literally go anywhere and make things happen, who would be opposed to the full reset that includes offloading Bryce, Burns, anyone we can get anything from, firing the GM, firing the staff - a FULL clean reset - and getting Dobbs here to get it going to keep games exciting

(I also know this is outrageous, overreacting, and not possible, but fug it, I am just laughing at this disaster now)

Dalton is sitting on the bench and he's probably better than at least 5 guys that teams are starting. Including us lol

Not sure of that

Dalton was/is an average starter. At this point he's not a long term answer for any team, not even us. However, could he come in and give us a few wins this season if the staff would just bench Bryce.  Absolutely.

lol Dobbs is a backup QB at best. Scrub. Pretty incredible the Vikings can pluck a dude off a bad team and get a win on the road and the panthers can barely get 200 yards offense with the super processor bust first overall pick

I bet on a good amount of Cardinals games this year so I got to see him play a few weeks, and tbh, the dude is playing better than half the starters in this league.

Remember that Dobbs has never started for a team that he has spent an offseason with. He started for Tennessee last season after being in Nashville for less than a week. He was traded to Arizona a couple weeks before the season started. The snaps you saw yesterday were the first he ever took with Minnesota. I'd love to see what he could do with a full offseason somewhere.

He's also a friend of mine! That's my "cool story, bro."

I know it’s a completely insane idea, but at this point why double down on mistakes?

New pres of operations = new GM = new coaching staff.

Acquire as many picks as possible through firesale.

Let Dobbs get his chance here and we have a 1st to use in 2025 if it doesn’t work out.

= Prosper

    • You bring up a good point on the stability part and i would agree that probably will factor into it. But yes, Tepper does have a strong influence on who stays/goes but I still believe ultimately it'is Morgan, Tilis and Canales who will decide.
    • I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.
    • holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!
