2024 QB Class

I think Young can still be the QB we want him to be and am not implying that we draft a QB in 2024.

HOWEVER, the other day I saw a list of QBs for the 2024 draft.  Surprisingly, there were a lot of interesting prospects.  We know the Williams, Maye, Penix and Nix will be long gone by pick 33.    Would you consider taking one of these other QBs with the 1st pick in the 2nd round?  Or would you just to prefer to ride Young until the 2025 draft class.  2024 is probably a wash for us anyhow. We'll most likely have a top 5 pick in 2025 which could be used for just about any other position besides QB that we are in need of.

It's a topic for discussion not necessarily my opinion.

One that intrigues me is Deion's boy.  Given time he can really make some plays.  Sadly, his offensive line is worse than ours.

Our problem here is that our GM didn't follow his own advice when he arrived.  One of the things he said when he arrived is that you should ALWAYS be drafting a QB - every year.  He's not saying at the top of the draft, but just as a general rule you should be spending a pick trying to find a guy.  Doesn't matter if you have one already, if you uncover one you literally cannot lose.

Look no further than the last draft.  The Eagles, Chargers, Browns, Rams, Cardinals . . . . all drafted QB's despite having a franchise guy on the roster already.  That's good roster building.

Unfortunately for us, Fitts said all those things and hasn't done it, except when pressured to fill a need.

I’ve been following a lot of the guys in this next class bc some were on the fence last year about declaring. Been a fan of a handful—Penix, Jayden Daniels, Cameron Ward, and Michael Pratt to name a few. Will be interesting to see where they end up, but I doubt we land one.

Although maybe a 4th-5th type project that could be a backup. That could be a Pratt/Ward type.
