Something tells me we are in for a large number of open positions this season.

Panthers, Chargers confirmed.

Commanders, Bears and Patriots expected.

Bills, Bucs, Jets, Titans and Falcons speculated / rumored to be possible.

Raiders leaning toward keeping Pierce (also Kelly as GM).

This likely means the end for Hurney as well.

Marty got his start in Washington under Bobby Beathard. He'll finish his career where it begin.

I seriously doubt that.  Apparently Hurney and the Owner are fairly close.  And Hurney is not a GM.  He only advises, doesn't make the calls.

I’ve said it before…if you get fired at McDonald’s they’ll never touch you again.

But in Carolina, come back on down!

Marty Hurney

Steve Clifford

Might as well bring Hurney back a THIRD time and give Ron another shot as well.

It’s like dumping your girlfriend and then begging for her to come back 4 years later after she gets dumped again by her new boyfriend.  #Pathetic

    • I think Deion's personality had a strong impact on Shedur's personality, although somewhat problematically, Deion was a supremely generational all time athlete at CB and Sheddur is mostly a solid pocket QB.  I think Shedur is actually way more humble that Deion is/was, I just think whenever people catch him in a soundbite that makes him seem cocky they run with it to keep that narrative going for the haters to feast on. He's made it a point to at least seem a lot more humble since he's been drafted.  No point in us trying to get him, only way it would've been feasible is if Stefanski kept his job into next year and Bryce had as abysmal of a season this year as he did his rookie season. Netiher are true/are going to be true imo. Maybe whoever doesn't draft Mendoza in 2026 draft might try to trade for him. Or the Browns could draft Mendoza and trade Sheddur.
    • Great...that means we shouldn't have to pay crazy money to a qb either.
    • That home game vs New Orleans will linger. The Superdome is a tough place to get a W….especially versus a heated division rival fighting for a playoff spot.   I think the formula to win here is not beat ourselves. That means BY9 plays smart and is the calmer/confident Bryce. Same goes for Dave. If Chuba is the healthier hotter hand right now, ride him. Take what NO gives you and don’t force a square peg in a round hole.
