season is over, are there ANY bryce believers left on this board?

I gave him credit the 1 half he looked like  an nfl qb. The other 31 he looked like an undersized undrafted free agent that didn't belong in the nfl.  He's is an official bust. I know many say give them the 2nd year but this is as obvious as any I've ever saw. Absolutely no improvement or feel for the game. He's drastically physically limited as well. He doesn't possess 1 tool. He was a fraud from the beginning but like all frauds he was found out.

Can someone explain to me why from day 1 Bryce went into TC the starter? They had him making freaking adjustments at the line and didn't even make him beat Dalton (who proved against Seattle he was at least a top tier backup).

We even had a ridiculous shot to get within 1 game of the NFC south after we played Houston (where Reich knew he was on the hot seat) and Dalton was never given a chance.

I'm not saying Dalton>Young... The main thing

Eh, teams dont sit first round rookies anymore, especially first overall. even Richardson who is about as raw as it gets didn't sit for a year.

i have no doubt bryce looked worse than andy in TC but coaches prob thought he'd improve... lmao

Maybe he’s good in 70% effort practices. In hindsight, It was clear from the first preseason real live action he was overmatched.

But that was the thing, he was declared #1 before they even put the jerseys on in TC. I've never seen a rookie QB win the job in OTAs.

They made Cam Newton beat out Pickles.

He's got eight more games to prove that he has a future in the NFL. A season and a half worth of starts is the consensus amount by which to judge a QB's potential.

By the middle of next season we should know if he's the future of this franchise, or a future backup, or should be cut.

100%. We should have a completely new scheme, coach, and GM (hopefully offensive roster too) week 1. We’ll know 6-8 games in if he’s the guy.

I guess I watched a different season. I saw a few seriously nice downfield throws just in the GB game. I know we’ve moved on to that game being a fluke but the throws were made on that day.

A couple good throws but 20-25 yards isn’t what I consider downfield. Not having a 50+ TD play is unprecedented in this era. The Mingo wide open TD overthrow was the closest

He's well mannered and is a better public speaker than Stroud. Tepper fell for the same poo with Rhule over a fuging dinner. No more dinners

Bryce is a better public speaker than Stroud? In what language? Do you all speak UmUmUm where you come from?

Can you imagine the ruckus if we gave pickles one more year with a new staff and blah blah blah? Game comes at you fast, next QB come on down.

What sucks it won't be 1-1 unless it's 2025 and there is nothing at QB at 33. Cause BY9 has shown his calling: top tier tank commander.

    • https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2024/06/bruins-hurricanes-could-swap-linus-ullmark-and-martin-necas.html The Boston Bruins are continuing to garner more and more interest for their former Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender Linus Ullmark, giving them a chance to be picky about the return. That could exclude much of the league from acquiring the star netminder, with Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman sharing on The Jeff Marek Show that he doesn’t believe teams like the Vancouver Canucks or Montreal Canadiens have the assets to acquire Ullmark. Friedman added that the Carolina Hurricanes could be one of the few teams rich enough for the deal, especially if they involve forward Martin Necas. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/carolina-hurricanes Expect the Maple Leafs and Predators to be two of the top suitors for Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce if he hits the open market next month, The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta reports.
    • They do, just when. I hate to be pessimistic but it’s all about the QB. I can’t recall a QB situation where a bad QB (not bad stats, but looking like they don’t belong) turned a team around. Peyton Manning had a ridiculous amount of interceptions but he didn’t show his future limitations. Usually, it was picking another QB in the draft. Unfortunately, IMHO, we won’t be really better until we get our Cam v2, someone who can carry the team and not win only if we have a stud lineup around him. That’s why I’m more interested in how the rest of the draft picks do to see if we can actually solve holes like the ones we created losing Olsen, CMC, Moore, Turner/Kalil/Norwell, etc. I want to actually be one QB away not Fitterer’s definition of one player away.
    • I will say once you have been in newer arenas and stadiums with their way better bathroom set-ups, it is such a massive improvement. It clears up a lot of insane lines just waiting around to piss.  I have taken to not drinking at all at older stadiums just so I don't have to deal with planning when to take a piss and what part of the game I am gonna be forced to miss because of it. It's so nice to be in a new arena/stadium with way better bathroom accessibility that doesn't force you to literally miss the game. Not to mention I will actually spend money on booze there then.
