Tearful LT talks about leaving

LT and Pep to the Pats in 2010

watch out for it.....

I really really really believe that LT is going to be a Steeler. I think they are the most equipped team year in and year out to win a SB and he will take a big paycut to be part of that. He'll be a great #2 with Mendenhall.

If we didnt have such good backs LT would have been a great fit here. As far as Peppers is concerned he will prob never reach his Potential because he dose not want too. I would not be surprised to see him only post single digit sack numbers this year after his blockbuster deal.

Actually I think PEP will have 1 good year to try to prove the critics wrong. Year 2 though, watch out....

He's still a great goal line back, has a nose for the endzone(12 td's this year.)

He just doesn't have the quickness/elusiveness he used to have. Sad, maybe he should take a couple years off and pull a Ricky Williams comeback after he's completely fresh.

that video was BRUTAL to watch, though..

Man I hope he gets some rest this offseason and comes back better next year. I think he's still got 2-3 good years left. I think some of the problems he's had the last two years were b/c of injury and changes in the strategy in the offense.

He's really a guy I pull for as an individual, I hope he comes back strong.

Wow, look at this guys heart versus Peps. Kind of the same situations, but LT is clearly the better person.

Edit: I know some people are going to say its different becuase LT is on the back of his career.

Situations aside (which are not the same), do a few tears and platitudes make someone a "better person"? You can argue that he was a better teammate, but better person...? Basically, LT is LT and Pep is Pep. They are two totally different individuals and personalities.

Some of you guys just fail to even try and see things from Pep's point of view and/or don't understand the business side of football. Pep is arguably the best player in Panthers history. He is on his way out. Have some class and let him go in peace. Though you may not believe that he lived up to his potential, he still was a valuable and valued member of the Panthers.

    • PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina.  Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting.  And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era.  If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory.  Which he would do.  Yeah, he isn't good.  And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs.   So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young.  And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce.   I didn't say PJ had good field vision.  He doesn't.  Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol.  Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB.  He is NFL depth and an in house arm.  Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam.  He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing.  Which isn't just PJ Walker.  But Kyle Allen.  Moore.  Guys like that.
    • Oh I see what you meant by memory. I will trust my memory, I have looked a a lot of those ball charts for Bryce and they trend a general pattern. They thing that has changed that I have noticed more recently is the reduction in the bunching of behind or at  the LOS passes over to his right.  Aside from the quantity of throws recently since the running game has become a more dominant factor.
    • Yes but you basically said you are going from a quick skim of those charts without doing the same for Bryce and/or Andy. So you are going memory vs. snapshots. That's not going to be a very comprehensive analysis.
