who all from the previous coaching staff has been fired?

Just got to thinking about this. since Tepper spent a beaucoup of money for that staff i'd think his desire would be to keep as many around so the money isn't wasted.

probably most of us would prefer we get rid of most of them, but there has to be some good hires in there that just received poor guidance. maybe it would help out the incoming HC to not have to start from scratch getting his staff.

who would you feel ok or good about keeping around?

No one should have stayed. Tepper is willing to piss away HC money every year but he wants to keep the not so all star staff to save dough? I though that was his one positive, the ability to keep throwing cash around endlessly?

After 2023 none should still be here for many reasons. First off it was a poorly built staff anyways, in reality it was just an expensive waste of a try. Matching a HC to that staff like Wilks had in Arizona I am guessing will have much of the same outcome. Hire a HC and let him pick his staff, not the other way around. More staff infighting nect year would be another layer of dysfunction to add to the heap.

I mean at this point I'd be surprised if it wasn't Canales, as much as I wanted MacDonald.

With Canales its pretty obvious we would keep defense intact, he would probably keep Tabor too.

i wouldn't have a problem with keeping the D intact as much as possible and Tabor as well. Let Canales do what he wants with the O. i can't see canales having a problem with the D staff staying intact as long as there is no discord with or within the D staff. for them it would probably be good not to have to pick up and try to find another job and move their families and they probably wouldn't find that kind of pay anywhere else.

Sir Purr. That's about it.

new HC should be able to hire his own staff.  Build a culture and environment.  A new HC shouldn't be given a staff from a prior failed era for the billionaire owner to save a couple bucks.

we just heard about the GOT nature of this org during this last era.  In no way should a new HC be saddled with a bunch of dudes he doesn't want from it.   That going to keep smart HC away.

clean slate.  We already aren't doing it with Morgan and that section.

    • I'm looking at the final drive, and that's where I'm laying the blame at Bryce's feet. Stepping up to the line, 38 seconds left, 3 time outs on the clock. 30 yards needed to attempt a FG. It's not Bryce's job to call the plays, that's DC's and it was terrible play calling.  It's Bryce's job to read what the defense is giving him at the line. The middle of the field is open. Rams are guarding against the deep ball and bringing pressure leaving the middle of the field ripe for the taking. Knowing his line not holding up for long, Bryce should have read the defense, called the audible, and thrown to the middle of the field for 6- 8 yards, like you said, quick slants would have worked. Then run either hurry up or call a TO. We had time. He has to make the adjustments. Any QB has to make the adjustments.  The pass Horn dropped hit his hands but was at his knees. Should he have slid and caught it? Probably. Was the pass a good one? No it wasn't. Both players were at fault, not just Horn. Let's not pretend that Bryce threw a beautiful pass that hit the receiver chest high right in the hands in perfect stride because that damn sure wasn't the throw.  The defense didn't choke away a lead. They never had a real lead. Choking away a lead is being up by multiple scores late in the 4th and losing. We were up by 4 and handed the ball back to a potential MVP with an All pro WR and potential future HoF WR2. One score games in the 4th are a slug fest. 28-3. That's choking away a lead.  I don't solely blame Bryce for the game, but you seem to solely blame the defense for the game because they went to prevent. You are forgetting the short field that the offense left them that led to the early Puka TD on one of our 2 failed 4th down conversions. Our defense has been given very limited resources over the past 3 years while we have tried to put everything possible around Bryce. We added a little bit to the D this year after giving up a NFL record in points last year. Our defense overachieved based on what they've been given to work with.
    • I'd really like to keep Mayes. We drafted and developed him.
