Then trade for someone else.

Not many elite WRs become available.

If Diggs is available we should pursue it. I don't know about you but I'm tired of watching this pathetic offense.

Btw I think Diggs just want his targets. If we feed him the ball he will be happy.

His average salary for his talent is a steal, but unless he demands a trade I don’t see why you’d trade him unless you got a haul of picks. With our lack of ammo I just can’t see how another team can’t offer a better package than us.  Only realm of possibility is to get a first in a tag and trade for Burns and use that in the deal.

I just don't think Bryce is it and adding bad attitude WRs on the wrong side of 30 isn't gonna help us for the future.

I don't think Bryce is it either, but at least we gave him something to work with. If he fails next year it's on him.

At the expense of parting with valuable assets. I don't want to bet anymore valuable assets on Bryce Young. If the guy isn't potentially a part of the plan for the 2025 top 5 pick, I don't want him.

I'd do what I can to sign Michael Pittman.  I think he's the optimal target this FA.

Not Higgins.  Not Gabe Davis.  Not a 28 y/o+ trade target to waste more capital on.

He's got the age, speed, size, downfield ability, and most importantly, is proven at this point.

Ideal WR Route:

Pittman & draft picks this year that don't have a curve to hit w/route running & gaining separation (Adonai Mitchell, McMillan, Corley, etc.)

As a FA sure, but we can’t afford to give up anymore valuable picks for players. It would probably cost a future 1st to get him. Losing the top pick in this draft is bad enough, doing it again would be insanity.

We still have a big deficit in draft picks this year and next. The last thing we need is to give away more 1sts/2nds to prove that Young isn’t the guy. If Young isn’t it, we are wasting the chance at getting better in the draft.

We have to build through the draft, period.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
