But if I post the whole blog entry here, then why would anyone pay to sign up for the site?

at least u could have given bits and pieces. If you want people to sign up on the site so bad then make a thread about it. this thread was a tease. And I dont like to be teased. Brings back bad memories

I tried to reveal the jist of his comments without giving it all away.

This was a gross miscalculation on my part, I honestly thought I was doing some folks on here a favor by making them aware of something they might not have otherwise been aware of... it was done in the same spirit as my "pro-bowl" party post. I can honestly tell you I have absolutely nothing to gain from other folks signing up for the DT site.

The "panthers points" sig is something I benefitted from by referring others to the program. I benefitted by getting additional points for each referral. The mods have decided that's not allowed, so that's fine - the sig is gone and won't be coming back.

I know I said this before, but I mean it this time... there's nothing more for me to say in this thread so I'm moving on. I apologize to anyone I offended.

I'm not going to to post the rant itself, since that would defeat the purpose of having folks sign up at doubletrouble3428.com to get access to the members-only blog (the proceeds to go charity), but suffice to say DeAngelo is not happy about the release of Hoover and uses words like "crazy" and "duh".

So when you add this to the sentiments tweeted by Harris it really makes me concerned about the morale of this team heading into the 2010 season.

Beason has been quiet and his silence is deafening right now... Panthers need to start a damage control campaign for both the fans and the players RIGHT NOW.

Not much to say, they are tearing the entire thing down giving the new coach in 2012 a clean plate w/ lots of money to make moves. JR wants his core of young players to remain and give young guys an audition.....winning is not what this upcoming year is about. There is no damage control.

JR is in a spot where he can't let Fox accidently find success.

The Huddle is cheap. We want all the benefits and none of the cost.

Jus wait til Williams has the opportunity to run behind a young strong full back, like Hoover used to be. He will changes his tune soon.

He had that opportunity last year. I'm sure that's why he's ranting. :D

The only part of "young strong full back" Hoover doesn't fit is "young".

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
