Jadeveon Clowney visiting Panthers

Clowney had a good season last year. He's an up and down player, but a solid veteran.

I feel at this point he should be ring hunting, but if the Panthers offered a multi-year deal then it would be possible to sign him. Maybe around 10-12 million a year with incentives? Three year deal?

Yeah he might just be trying to get the Ravens to raise their offer, solid shot at making the playoffs again if he wants a ring

hes been around the league. I think he does want a chance to play in front of his home crew.  Be close to family etc.

It would be nice, but I think the Panthers will have to give him a multi-year deal. Which I'm all for as long as it has incentives in case he has another down year.

Yeah the hometown edge is the only thing we have going for us unless they want to overpay. Ravens are a little low in cap space as well

whats a fair offer for clowney?  2 years $15 million?  thats a slight bump up from the 1 year $6 million he had from baltimore last season

He had a good season last year and as the worst team in the league the Panthers will definitely have to pay the 'bad team' tax. I expect more like 10-13 million a year. Unless he really wants to come home and has his mind made up.

I haven't a clue. It's really all about the guaranteed money anyway.  That's all both sides care about.

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
