We were bitten before recently by Corbett, I’m gonna wait to see how it plays out with these 2 guys. Also still need a center

Corbett was the best player on the OL in 2022 once he came off the PUP list.

Injuries hurt him again in 2023.

So yea, the injury bug has hurt us but he was (maybe is?) a real good OL.  He just cannot be counted on without a solid backup plan

BTW I don’t think I have ever seen such horrible Guard play as there was on the field last year. At the same time, the QB’s skills and timing were totally non existent. Slovenly drop back pace, unlike any other QB really ever seen.

No wonder Reich blew a circuit board out trying to work around that. Or Brown rather. What a poo plan.

But I digress. If you were going to rush the passer vs the Panthers you could literally stand around and see who the OL went to engage with, and then go chase the QB you will have a free run. Not even a stunt. Just delay a little and let them get busy. If you do a stunt you are IN. They apparently think everyone has to run straight ahead no tricks. It’s easy.

Honestly, with a pro-quality offensive line, we might actually get what was advertised with Miles Sanders. As the video points out, Raheem Mostert was all world behind Hunt being himself arguably a mid-level RB.

Sanders just never had any gaps to run through. Hubbard stubbornly found yardage, and I'm excited to see how Mrs. Rhule's favorite does behind this line when he has actual lanes to pick through. But Sanders is just a season removed from being one of the league's leaders in all-purpose yards. Behind the line we are building, this could be his bounce-back season.

I really liked the Sanders pick up last year as a CMC-lite type move. I also watched a video about how Canales likes to use receiving backs out of the back field.

Its only good for us if Sanders earns his way into that starting role.

    • Yeah it is nice seeing some improvement on the defensive side and the young guys.   I don’t want to think about the future much if Bryce doesn’t heal and we are kept in this limbo via an incomplete test. It is depressing  I don’t have quite as dim a view of the 24 draft class as you do   I have modest hopes for XL compared to none. I like CSW.  Am a little cooler on Sanders but at the same time realized this week that Morgan getting that future 2nd for moving down turned into Scourton. I think. Jackson is a real value in exchange for the guy we took with the 7th. I don’t expect anything from Brooks but Wallace seems to have improved enough to not bust. And Coker is in with them, but is giving us nothing this year. So far, and it is almost half over     I hope Andy still has enough to make watching the offense less of a claustrophobic experience. And there is a small chance we upset the Bills but just playing them tough and making it a fun game to watch will be enough.
    • Bryce haters gunna hate.  Can't change that. Bryce has been pretty durable all things considered.  A couple minor injuries considering how much he was hammered year 1.  And he still takes hits.  Dude is tough. The play in question is a football play, poo happens.  That's ultimately what happened.  Guys running around, trying to stop Young and stuff happened.  Sucks but that's how it goes. For me, I'd rather see Young play.  He will either prove that he's the Dude, a JAG (leaning heavily right now), or an outright bust (some of you were there on draft night, lol)
    • I think we need to let the 2025 class develop. Remember at one point early during last season the 2024 class was gonna be a killer. And we had all kinds of people chirping about how the 2021 Draft was the greatest of all time. Early returns are promising. Let's hope it continues.
