Destined to be a Carolina Panther

Since this thread is pretty misleading, I thought it was going to be about players you think the Panthers will select....to keep this alive, I will start.

1. Ladd McConkey  WR

2. Payton Wilson LB

3. Ja'Tavion Sanders TE

I think one or two of these will be Panthers--I see the Panthers (Morgan with Keuchly in his ear) loving Wilson.

If the draft played out where we got all three (no particular order) and the running back..would be a happy camper

So you walk in the room expecting people to be playing Monopoly, but they are playing poker, so you just setup Monopoly in the corner?  I kinda respect it.

Seems like a well spoken very nice and friendly dude. I don't know much about him but can he ball? If so wonder what round he could be had in? Later rounds? I bet he can outplay our overpriced backup RB from Philly so I'm all for him coming here.

I feel like he's usually around in the 5th on mock simulators. Good size but not much actual power running on his tape and not much breakaway speed. I find it hard to believe any random draftable guy would be worse than Sanders

I'm sure not too many random draftable guys would be better than Sanders but I sure would keep my eyes open and evaluate random draftable guys in case we can find one better because Sanders looks like he can only play behind Phillys dominant line.

Please.  I'd take either him or Allen, but prefer Estime.  Audric has a little more 'wiggle' in his game Allen.

All his highlights are hitting pretty open gaps and breaking arm tackles so I'm on the fence. Couple good runs where it was hard to bring him down but not much of him attacking the defense head on like a Morgan DAWG

    • He threw with him the last two offseasons so he knew what he was signing up for lol
    • The meat and potatoes: Out of 30 qualifying QBs in Week 1, Young ranked: Dead last in EPA (-0.60) Dead last in success rate (20%) Dead last in Y/A at 3.6 Dead last in passer rating at 27.5 How are you averaging just 3.6 Y/A on unpressured dropbacks in the first half of a game? Thinking back to that halftime deficit, I’m reminded of this stat: The Panthers led at halftime in three of Young’s 12 starts last year. They are now 0 for 1 this year. In his 29 career starts, the Panthers have led at halftime in 5 of 29 (17%). Since 2000, there have been 37 QBs to start at least 25 games in their first two years in the NFL. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than six of his starts. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than 20% of his starts. So many people were backing Young based on the super small sample at the end of the year when they thought he played better, and he did play moderately better. But even in those games, he delivered average stats against the NFL’s easiest schedule of pass defenses to close the year, with every opponent ranking 20th or worse. There’s never been a QB who rebounded from performance like Young delivered in his first couple of years to go on to become a franchise quarterback. Some stay around as a journeyman, but they don’t lead teams. The Panthers put all their eggs in the Young basket this offseason. The Panthers were the darlings to win the NFC South by many. Yes, it’s only one game, and there certainly are opportunities to improve.   The opportunity is to start someone else at QB.   I don’t want to see anymore debate in whether Bryce is the worst QB ever.  Especially not the worst #1 overall pick ever.  What a fuging bust.
