Early in the video some of what he's saying is in line with what we've seen. But he veers off into sheer fantasy territory when he starts talking about Bryce Young's downfield deep balls at Alabama. He had the worst deep ball by far between him Mac Jones Hurts and Tua. People want to talk Bryce Young but say these things and can't figure out why they are dismissed. People need to learn to discern what they hope for versus what's actually happened. Bryce Young has simply never been a consistently good deep passer at either level to this point. Even at his hyped pro day his deep ball was described as underwhelming at best. For a first overall pick!? It's always been there for anyone to see. Unless that changes he will not be a franchise QB in this league for any team regardless of the circumstances. That's what Canales has to get out of him.

Stroud was drafted and Paul Wall was getting him fitted for gold fronts. In hindsight, lol at the thought of Bryce in Houston and gold fronts. I love Charlotte, but he definitely fits that city. 

As someone who has been to most metropolitan areas of this country, your description of Houston is pretty strange.

I wanted Stroud and I think Stroud had an excellent rookie campaign last year. However, I just get the feeling he's going to hit a Sophomore slump. 

A) I think a lot of people were taken by surprise by their offense, and I imagine there has been a great deal of time put in by opposing DCs to learn habits, tendencies, etc. 

B) Their schedule is much harder than last season and includes a Miami, Kansas City, Baltimore stretch in the middle of December.

Why all this is possible, you cant rule out the fact that Houston didnt improve the team in the off season to be ready for this. They added diggs, they added another RB to help a run game that struggled, they had a pretty good draft. I mean it wasnt like they sat around and did nothing all off season. They are moving like a team thats fully aware what they are capable of and think they can win now than later. I thinks its completely up in the air if a slump is on the way.

I think we should be balanced here. There seems to be a deference here to Texans wisdom and Panthers foolery when it came to these picks.

But let's review, at draft time Caserio reportedly had one foot out of the door. McNair was in the same category as Tepper (people actually suspected he paid Buzbee to go after his own player, Watson). The fans were down in a football town in a football state. We are giving way too much hindsight credit to the Texans.

At the same time, all we have to go by are reports from both teams and other media. We are being creative in saying "no one knows" what the Texans were thinking while being convinced that "we know" what the Panthers were doing. We have no access to either HQ, but people who do said that Houston wanted Bryce and also saud Tepper wanted Bryce. 

I also think any reading into the Texans not going to #1 has to also consider that they also ended up moving to #3. It's just as possible that the capital used to go to #3 would've been needed to go to #1. Winding up with #1 only or with #2 and #3 would be an easy decision.

Houston is not what I would call a "gaudy metropolis." There is only one area in Texas that fits that description and it's Dallas/Forth Worth.

Houston is quite a bit dingier/dirtier by comparison, IMO. Also, Houston has a VERY large footprint and so despite being a significantly larger city than CLT it typically doesn't feel more densely populated than CLT in the downtown area(sometimes it feels less so on foot). 

In general it's not a fair comparison because Houston metro is about 2.5 times the size of Charlotte metro. It doesn't take much in terms of support there to keep a team afloat.
