7 wins would be the equivalent of a good team winning 12-14 games, IMO.

I still have in the 4-6 win range, pre-training camp.

Yup, 6 wins is about where I'm at.  I think we hit the Matt Rhule 5 win mark, but struggle to get the sixth one.  We beat some bad teams teams like Washington, Cardinals and Denver.  We won't go winless in the division, so maybe 2 home wins in the NFCS.  The Bears aren't bad, but have a rookie QB, so if he has a bad day there's possibly another win.  I can see us catching either the Giants, Raiders or Chargers on a bad day for one more win, potentially two.

If thins go a about as good as I can see them going, there's a possible 9 wins on the schedule.  That said, we have a black cat as our mascot, so temper those expectations by a few games and you get the 5 or 6 wins I'm expecting.

I think we are winless on the road within the division.  We are not beating the Eagles, Cowboys, Chiefs, or Bengals.  We drop at least one more road game against the either the Raiders, Broncos or Bears.  That's how I arrived at he 9 win at best total.

Yes, we have improved in the off season. So has virtually every other team. I see us winning 4 games, maybe 5 if everything bounces our way.

That’s not how it works. Every team doesn’t improve. Plenty of teams take steps backwards like we did last year. They all want to think they improved but that’s not the case.

Black cat is real.

My ultimate issue is that I can't buy into that our roster improved in the offseason.

Yup. Fool me once...  The roster is not considerably better.  Better coached?  That remains to be seen.  Bryce should take a step forward, well, because he couldn't do any worse.

With better coaching, more consistent QB play and a marginally better roster, that should get us to 3-4 more wins over last year.  Just make the games watchable and I'll be happy.

Yeah, I don't even have a bar anymore. I will watch and be amused more than anything else, I am sure.

Tepper Panthers have me completely apathetic but not off board enough to not watch.

I see 5-6 potential wins...whether that comes to fruition remains to be seen. The others are rock solid losses...

If our offense hovers from 15-20 I think that's reasonable. Our defense is going to hold us back though.

If we lose a couple of those easier ones at the start then it may get ugly.

...Count on it. What has gone right under dippers leadership. I always expect the worse so I'm never disappointed.... 🤣

PFF can say whatever they want but I definitely watched the games and that was one of the worst offensive lines I have ever seen in my life. Our interior was a turn style.

Yeah, that post your responded to here was one of misinformation, opinion, sarcasm, and provocation while offering no concrete reasons or supporting facts.  The interior on an OL when your QB is 5 10" is a huge problem.  I guess we learned, however, that opinions, Huddle membership, and McDonald's Wifi are free.

    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
    • Allen was borderline unplayable in College.  He's an absolute unicorn in terms of his career panning out the way it has.
    • It's a step up in competition as well. The gap in athletic skill is narrowed from what was faced at the college level.
