JD already in the end zone his first drive.

Even the lowly Commanders seem to have no trouble moving the ball and scoring.

If BY and the offense can't move the ball against the Jets they deserve the criticism and then some.

Good point, this is the same Jets team we're meeting up with next week. Noted

Completion to Hurst against the Colts.

Not to say he does it as often as some fans would prefer or that he should, but he does have the ability to do so. Hopefully we'll see more of that this year with improved protection and weapons.

That ball to Hurst on a corner route while he was wide ass open? That one?

That throw and the ball Daniels just threw are two completely different throws/routes

How about this one? How many rookie QB's from this year's draft class do you think make this a completion 9 times out of 10?

They are a good team with a much much better roster. We knew this. We knew it would take several years if everything goes seamlessly for the Panthers to be a good team with depth needed.

Why has everyone forgotten and now expects immediate results from this roster?

Probably because it’s the NFL.  And there is virtually no reason to suck for a long period of time anymore.  League is designed so you shouldn’t be horrible a half decade.   Yet we get worse.

Bryce's pass came on 3rd & 11 while also under pressure. It traveled 35 yards through the air to the spot Hurst was going to be (placement). Daniels tossed a beautiful ball 40yds that Dyami Brown made a great one handed snag while keeping the defender off of him.

The comment was that Bryce could not throw a similar ball. We're all aware what that means: he doesn't have the arm strength. He put a ball just as far though, accurately, on time, and under pressure.

None of this takes away from JD's play. If anything, it takes away from the patently false claim that BY couldn't do the same.

Now if y'all want to complain that he doesn't do it enough, by all means have at it. Not much to deny there.

People act like turning around the team is taking the SMU job after they got the death penalty.  We just have to stop fuging up lol.

huh? Daniels just threw a dime 40 yards down the sideline on a go route with at best a step of separation

The comment made was that Bryce could not throw a similar ball and he can’t or he at least hasn’t shown the ability to yet

A few attempts at it last year the ball landed a few yards out of bounds or he over shot the receiver. He struggles with the deep ball because he doesn’t have the arm to put enough under it to let his WR get under it

There’s like 3 minute long video floating around of him just missing Mingo deep lol

If you come across it I'd like to revisit that. The thing with Mingo is he has been an enigma of hot/ice cold. Even I recognize some of those instances may not be on just Bryce. There have been plays where Mingo just doesn't have his head in it. But glaring ones like that I linked are an example that better coaching fundamentals and scheme alone cannot overcome a lack of consistent physicality from your QB. The way that we have to microanalayze and berate other over air yards and stretch the limits of the term "deep pass" to validate the arm talent of our first overall pick speaks volumes in and of itself.

I can go to YouTube right now and in less than 10sec find a clip of him making that type of throw. If the comment was that he doesn't do it enough, that'd be one thing. It was that he can't though, and that's proven to be false.

There's no possibility of a good faith back and forth if reality is going to be denied. Criticism that he hasn't done it enough in the pros? Have at it! That he can't though... ? That's a flat out lie.

    • Love the Freeling pick even more after watching his pressers. Dude is sharp and definitely seems to have the right mentality. I loved hearing how personal he took having a bad game with a torn labrum and instead of seeing that as the reason for his bad game and not changing anything, it motivated him to work even harder. Such a great pick, we finally got our all pro level LT for the next decade and now we can move Ickey to RT or guard with no hurt feelings due to his injury. Second favorite pick is probably Brazzell. He said he false started on his 40 and it cost him probably 0.04 seconds, so he’s more of a 4.33 guy rather than 4.37. Really Randy Moss lite. I didn’t know anything about him prior to drafting him and first highlight reel I saw of him I immediately thought he looked like Moss. Then I saw the measurables and was like yep. Then I see that he’s drawn that comparison by many scouts and analysts. If he can add consistency and play to the level of his highlights every play then we got an incredible value.
    • During his three years at UGA he only allowed 5 sacks. He is only 21 and is on an upward trajectory. He's a great athlete that was good basketball player in high-school.  His height (76% how is this only 76%???? these guys are giants now), hands (81%), span (99%), speed (96%), quickness (10 yd. 86%), and explosiveness (vert. 96%, broad 97%) are all outstanding.  When we took Freeling, Fano, Mauioga, Proctor, and Miller were all off the board so we could have drafted Iheanachor or Lomu instead or waited to the second or third round to take Bell, Tiernan or Barber or wait even longer.  A lot of these tackles (including the first two taken) project to right tackle or guard in the NFL and that's not what we needed now.  Freeling has some sloppiness to clean up in his run blocking, but he's young and getting better.  We can let him get experience behind Walker and Moton knowing if he has to replace one of the two this year, his pass blocking won't get Bryce killed. Icky's not coming back from that injury as a nfl starting left tackle and Moton is in the twilight of his career.  If Walker has a great year, we will have to pay him a lot and if he is medicore we would want to let him walk.  Getting a LT on a rookie contract is going to help a lot with the cap.
    • It was cool but they have done this at least in recent years unless I am imagining it
