That's true, but we also have to find out if Bryce is our guy or not. We don't have time to go through this again next season. I rather we get it out the way this year.

Johnson is a FA regardless of Bryce or not. We know he has talent with a decent QB. Our Oline is locked up. Johnson on a discount sounds good to me.

If Bryce can't beat out his backup he's not the guy. If he wasn't the 1st overall pick, he'd have been cut already.

We said he wasn't available for trade.

If this report is true he's about to be our starting QB again.

Panthers are telling you how they feel about Bryce. This franchise is stupid. Wake up people.

It’s true because Dalton needs a backup. A 4th rounder isn’t worth it if  signing Tim Boyle is the alternative

Unfortunately Bryce starting will mean very minimal development for our young WR's and TE which will then delay their development further. Why do that? We know he is not the answer now so time to worry about developing the younger players who catch passes. It will hurt us in the long run to start Bryce again since we know he really isnt capable of making NFL throws. I dont understand this mindset as it only hurts others development.

When have you gave a fug in the Tepper era?

Wilks ball was the only time I remember giving a fug about this team. We were playing for something. Every other year has been trash under Tepper.

I started to GAF when they finally put him out of our misery. At enjoy watching the games a little. The offense a little I mean.

You know I was a Wilks guy. I don't suffer from SB or bust like, which people got what they asked for. I just want to watch competitive ball with the team not eliminated by December 1st, and some hope for better than that.

You think Bryce is a backup?

His play said he doesn't even belong on a NFL field.

He’s be serviceable if he treated every game like practice and grew a pair. He guides his throws like a putter with the yips. He would never start over Dalton if the gap in practice was that large

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
