Charles Lee really needs to have the Hornets practice the basics. Team can't set screens, can't make layups, can't dribble, can't defend, and can't rebound. But boy, can they jack up bad 3s.

Selfish basketball.

So much for that brief glimmer of hope earlier in the season.

This team is fuging worse than the team we had last year. You might as well kept Clifford. Can’t shoot, can’t rebound, can’t pass, can’t guard the 3…they put out more turnovers than Sara Lee. Every night I see a bunch of fuging amateurs. Charlotte doesn’t deserve pro teams  at all. What a goddamn embarrassment. Maybe they should move both franchises to Raleigh, there seems to be a winning stigma in that area. Charlotte pro teams = suck to mediocre at best. Same goddamn poo.. year in and year out. I just want to pull for a goddamn winner, somebody that’s worth a fug. Sorry for the rant, but between these two teams, it just takes a toll.

Yep. Lee could have at least put in some ball movement to get open 3s since he wants to be a 3pt shooting team. But no, he just lets them do whatever they want except for the rare out of time out play.

I was excited to see what the team looked like on Monday with the team being back to full strength. Like most of the season, the team is just unwatchable. Every possession is the same. There’s a pick somewhere around the top of the key and then missed 3 or turnover. I turned the game off halfway through the 2nd quarter.

What I don’t understand is Lee coaches so hard during every offensive possession for the entire game. He’s constantly coaching during the possession. Why? Do the players not know what they’re doing? Do they not practice? And for what? Every possession is the same sloppy offense every game. Whatever he’s coaching isn’t working.

This team is frustrating. I feel like they have too much talent to be this bad.

Hornets lose to the worse team in the NBA. I don’t know what the problem is, but they need to figure it out. This is absolutely pathetic for all the talent we supposedly have.

8-43 from 3. That is an absolute joke. Melo gets his, but this team is hopeless on offense.  I don’t expect Lee to figure it out.

Also, another dud from Salaun. I see absolutely nothing in his game that makes me think he’ll amount to anything.

18.6% from three tonight..lol

Salaun is too raw at only 19. No one can say what he'll ultimately be 3 or 4 years from now. But waiting around for that is not a luxury this franchise has. We needed production out of that pick now. It's not looking good at all.

At this point I think Lee is just doing all he can to keep this team competive given the circumstances. But there are some tough decisions ahead. Might get worse before it gets better anytime soon.

What is the strength of Salaun’s game? What is he good at?

He’s the least athletic player on the court every time he’s out there. I see absolutely nothing there to develop.

We are tanking I'm convinced.

LaMelo shot 3-20 from 3pt range. That's not winning basketball he had 30 shots total.

It's sort of funny you guys were so bad with 3s tonight about the same time Silver and LeBron both say the game is broken due to too many 3 attempts. The NBA is almost unwatchable. No defense, refs call fouls for almost anything, guys care more about looking pretty on the court than playing tough, etc. Today's NBA is putrid.

    • I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.
    • I'm not sure 19 is too high for Rodriguez anymore.  He looks to be moving up boards, but it could be smokescreens.
    • I see XL this way---great athlete.  Good person.  When we drafted him, we knew he was raw.  One year of WR in college (starting) and in HS, he was a QB, I believe. We knew we would need patience with him.  I think year 3 will be make or break.  He is older, and I think that people with his athletic ability have always been better than those with less---but those with less can become more successful.  Why is that?  in my view, it is mental. XL can learn the mechanics and nuances of playing WR if he becomes focused on it and works at it.  I had the opportunity to talk to Armanti Edwards one day after OTAs (great guy) and he discussed how overwhelming it was.  He seemed shocked.  At that time, I knew that Fox hated the pick (I heard him mock Armanti to another coach when he saw Edwards drop a punt from a jugs machine--then I saw Armanti look back at Fox as if to suggest that he was feeling the pressure to please the coach. We forget that these are kids in their early 20s.  At the time, Fox was a lame duck.  Remember when he had Clausen as the #3 QB and was forced to move him up the ladder?  I liked Fox, but I think the climate and culture was influenced by the politics.  Currently, I see another Wr from SC who is struggling, but he is ina  very nurturing, positive culture. Let's see what happens with XL.  I am frustrated too---but XL was a second round talent who was raw and we traded up to get him.  He had 500 yards as a rookie--lets call 2025 a sophomore slump and see if we can't get at least 50 yards per game out of him.  If not, cut bait.
