Dude lost all respect from fans and teammates with that lazy crap in the last game.
Cam ran constantly and never asked to be taken out.

Dude, Cam would run all game then do laps around the stadium giving high fives and poo on a first down, then run around some more.

One of my favorite moments is when we were blowing out the Skins and he ran back and forth doing the Hulk Hogan “I’m listening” thing.
Dude never seems to lose energy.

We still should’ve drafted him over Bryce. He could’ve sat behind Andy for 2 years.

He wouldn't have. He would have started here, done as badly or worse, we would have started him even longer as he failed, got injured and worse.

He isn't a good QB but he would have been demonstrably worse here as this situation(especially last year) is LIGHT YEARS worse than in Indy.

He might be the only QB that could actually have fared worse here than Bryce. This would be a complete nightmare scenario for someone like AR.

...I'm glad we didn't get a chance to ruin him...

Stroud is not a fragile flower like Bryce. He's made of far tougher stuff because he thrived against plenty of adversity growing up. Stroud would have been fine here. Yes, it would take a bit longer, but he would get there.

People seem to forget that Reich got 27 tds to 7 ints out of a broken, discarded Carson Wentz.

Stroud would have been fine with Reich, he had no chance once he got handed Bryce.

You know....I would like to think that is true but we just don't know what this situation would have done to him. Maybe Stroud is struggling and Bryce is looking like early Mac Jones(decent comp, IMO).

Okay for one thing the defense wouldn't play us with Stroud like they play Bryce. The biggest thing gumming it all up was no stretching the field, almost none. Whatever they did to stretch it scared no one.

That is still going on and it's a huge problem. Or a huge symptom of Bruyce's limitations, however it works.

It would have been much different with Stroud, the team might have thought they had a chance, too. Which affects things.

Some posts aren't embedding now for some reason 🤔

Basically, the team is signalling that this isn't a "temporary" benching. Flacco is the starter "going forward".

Starting to wonder if they've soured on him.

When the whole team is out there workin hard putting in effort and gettin bloody....and he just walks off....no one respects him on the team after that stunt...I'd bench him indefinitely....thats some Kerry Collins level stuff there.

No way Bryce could ever look like an early Mac simply because he doesn't have the arm strength for it.

    • I love college football and generally enjoy it even more than the NFL but it is undeniably a mess right now with this NIL and transfer portal stuff and the whole ND thing is just beyond absurd. I know NFL fans bitched about the Pats for years and then the Chiefs for years about how they got special treatment but honestly most of that was just about the media and announcers dick riding them and a perceived friendly call here and there. They didn't get to not have to play in a conference, have their own special individual rep to lobby in their behalf when no other team does, nor literally get special clauses just for them to create a different standard for qualifying for the playoffs. And ND fans really have the nerve to take about a bias against ND? Well, no poo. If you don't hate ND you're not paying any attention.
    • This 100 percent. Really, it comes down to defense more than anything else. We have a bit of tape on NO's rookie QB now and that gives us something to work with. He was an unknown quotient the first time around and our defense still had not gelled the way it has now. And our offensive line has to be in push mode for most of this game. Road graders over turnstiles. The Saints know their season is over, if their defense is hit with body blows early and often in the game, then at halftime, many of their starters will be thinking of winter vacation plans and checking with their agents to see about free agent possibilities.
    • Renfrow is only getting targeted with catches he is just simply unable to make. He is getting the AT balls. He is not a contested catch WR. Horn is more valuable in our offense because he adds an element that doesn't really exist with our other WR's. He is a speedy, agile guy that we can use to get a lot of YAC on these screens and glorified running plays. So he has tremendous value in that role. As a pure WR he is clearly not as refined as Renfrow.  Renfrow also isn't nearly as good as Coker at most aspects of his role.  He is on the bench because he is a redundant, less useful player in some regards. Especially when we don't have a "point guard" at QB like we were supposed to. Bryce doesn't exactly spread the ball around and definitely not efficiently.
