Bryce plays better every game and finishes with decent stats and a few wins? Doesn't have to set records, just keep improving.

DJ Wonnum is back to being healthy at DE and helps generates pressure and a few sacks with Clowney?

Adam comes back as the slot receiver and between him Coker and X, they start getting around 300+ yards as a group per game?

What if JT Sanders is the real deal and is developing into a top 10 TE?

What if MLB Wallace is a more than solid player in the mold of a Dan Morgan?

What happens if Brooks is a great 1-2 punch with Chuba and they average well over 100 yards per game?

What happens in Horns stays healthy and we have a true shut down corner?

What is the O-line continues it's dominance?

4 wins or 6 wins, maybe even 7, doesn't matter. The team shows improvement and plays like a team and it was injuries and a new mentality needed by the team and HC to turn this around. Would you be supportive? Still negative (same old Panthers)?

Looks like to me we had a turn around year to be positive about and few more add ons (draft & FA) and this team could at least compete for the playoffs in 2026. Health is #1 and having a system in place for a 2nd year would be huge. No matter how the year finishes, those points are what I'm rooting for.

What happens when you wake up?

Bryce playing just good enough to give the team enough hope to roll with him again next year is the worst possible scenario.

My biggest fear, especially if we don't bring in another qb as well to atleast push him. These fans really want to ride whole new year on his shoulders. Absolute delusion.

A lot of fans would be relieved, but there are a few (especially here on the Huddle) that would probably set their scooters on fire if the team has any success with Bryce as the QB.

I mean it all depends how you define success...winning a game against a 2 or 3 win team? Bryce only throwing around 150 yds with one TD on average and less interceptions? Is that successful? It sounds baby steps. We are still far away from the point where we are actually capable of beating good teams or expecting Bryce to play well against a team thats actually good. I mean Fans were actually upset he had to go against a team with a good defense 2 weeks ago. It's still nothing to be that enthusiastic about.

If Bryce plays good we either give him another year and keep building OR get a decent pick for him the better he plays. Would you take Sam Darnold back? Or someone like him? I think taking a QB with a high draft pick is a possibly another 2 year set back if it doesn't work out. Next year they can be competitive and really be rolling by 2026 with the right moves.

    • By all indications, the surgery was "minor." I know with all surgeries and especially back surgery there can be complications, but I think the whole time Tremble did this with the expectation he would be able to be back for Week 1 It sounds like he will be ready to start back in team drills next week. He's a veteran who knows the system so I'm sure that helps. I still can't imagine he will play a normal workload early on though
    • Maybe. He was pretty good in college before a bad injury. He had a good preseason last year as a UDFA in Washington and was on their practice squad all year so they obviously saw something worth developing. He signed a futures deal with the Panthers earlier this year, and everything about him has been increasingly positive. Tremayne has gotten a decent amount of time with the ones, and a lot with the twos for someone that doesn't have a chance. He's the only other 6'4" plus WR on the team, plays ST, and is a more natural backup to the X receiver position than David Moore. That was my thinking behind it. But he may well end up as one of the last roster cuts. If so, I do hope they can bring him back to the PS. But I personally think there's a good chance he could be claimed given his ST ability and what hes shown at WR.
    • That was my thought originally, but so many of the beat writers have mentioned keeping 7 WRs in conversations that I went with that, at least for the purposes of this projection. But you're right that historically defensive guys who were standouts at ST have tradionally gotten those last spots
