My main problem is that Evero “doesn’t believe in the traditional gargantuan NT”. He likes a smaller type NT. It is really weird but it was said multiple times when we hired him. I think the 3-4 can work, but you need a monster NT.

Yet the top 3 defenses (Chargers, Steelers, Vikings) are all 3-4 with smaller nose tackles.

The heaviest of the bunch is 309

This fan base... Evero lost the best player on the team week 1, traded their best pass rusher in the off season and the guy they hired to start along side clowney just came back this week. The guy has been making wine out of water if you as me. Your asking him to do a lot understaffed.

Even if everyone was healthy this team took losses on defense with Frankie luvu and others we were suppose to are a step back. This season isn't on him. I think he's a fantastic young defensive mind.

I haven't heard that but that's great, we could draft Mason Graham or Kenneth Grant and get a huge upgrade over Shy Tuttle without them having to add any weight.

I had no idea Chargers and Vikes used 3-4 tbh. Steelers have traditionally used a very large NT. Maybe times are changing? I still prefer a big guy at NT though.

If all the rumors about Canales and Saleh being friends is true, you have to try to get Saleh and return to the 4-3. It is easier to outfit with talent and Saleh is a next level coordinator. Evero has made some edible chicken salad from the injury laden defense this year, but the Saleh and the switch to 4-3 just make more sense to me.

    • Look, I've been pounding on the Canales shouldn't be calling the offensive plays thing since last year. He's first off, not very versatile and makes Ron Rivera look like a master of mid-game adjustments. Also, because I think you really, really need to be calling the offensive plays from the booth with a better view of the whole field.  A coach on the field cannot grasp how the opposing sideline WR is doing in coverage while also checking the two receivers on his side, plus keep up with how the line is doing and if the RB is in the groove. Heck, for the line alone he doesn't have the best view of where the RB is going to see success and how to best exploit it. Hence Rico saying, Yo coach, keep running this.  Still, all these things in there, no matter how hard I'm banging on that drum, I can't let it drown out my joy in getting one of those rare Ws. Even coaches can learn and grow from them. I sure hope he will.
    • I fully understand the questioning of Dave and BY, just the timing of your concerns is my problem. NFL is ultra hard to pull off the perfect game. In all my years Ive never seen a HC have the perfect game plan and have great play call after great play call.  Tmac has helped in every game, honestly more than I thought he was going to show. It does look like he was in fact the reason to trade AT and allow Tamc to feast on his targets. I have re-watched the wins, I have seen Tmac get red zone looks. Brother, he's about the 80-90% of passing attack. Dave is young inexperienced HC and he's learning on the job, hope he improves along with BYs confidence.    Its going to be alllllll right, trust me as your co-pilot.
    • You cannot hate his character, but he is holding the team back. There is so much we can't do because of his limitations. It just is what it is
