I think it was fairly obvious that Bryce was super comfortable with the first 15 scripted plays. He looked poised. He made good throws.

After the scripted set, he, and Canales, both seemed to be uncomfortable with the flow of the game. It’s that uncomfortability that leads to poor/rushed throws.

Bryce has to be better if he intends on being the future (which I don’t think he should be), but the playcalling after the script has to be better also.

Thank you.

Any other QB winning down 2 lineman and with 3 rookies starting would never, ever get this hate, especially against a good defense.

Anyone who can't see that Bryce is playing better (even after we traded away our nominal WR1) is just hating.

It's embarrassing.

Just enjoy the win

We can't smile for 10 minutes because this dude is upset that Bryce isn't Pat Mahomes today.

It’s crazy how outcomes dedicate discussion.

if the Giants don’t fumble and we kick the FG….and instead drive the field for a winning TD….the TV folks would be calling Bryce trash.

a sad 126 yards by a guy that can’t play at this level.  But the Giants fumbled it away so now it’s a promising day lol

it is embarrassing how announcers talk about bryce

"he's smiling and it's great he feels good."

"he sounds more confident in the huddle."

this is pathetic.

What can they say?  “He’s really slinging to his halfback with confidence”

”He’s seeing the entire backfield today”

”He’s standing tall back there”

So, so many people that use to be active on here all gone... and it's bc it's just too much man...

It's is completely fine critiquing Bryce.

Some of this is objective nonsense though. It just is.

We ain't putting up 30 points a game with this group.

Having that expectation is insanity.

We're going to lose more games.

But it's to the point where you can't even enjoy a win on here... it's effing sad

And a sick game winning drive in overtime.

In all seriousness he wasn’t bad today. We ran it so good and in that awful weather on that awful field that’s what ultimately helped us win the game. Bryce throws some absolute ducks that im sure are going to get picked off but it didn’t happen. He had clutch plays when needed like that long scramble and his creativity to find JT Sanders open for a touchdown. Im not gonna hate too much on him today he helped the team win.

My favorite part of him today was actually seeing some emotion out of him when he missed Coker on the kill shot and yelled in frustration. I want to see more of that for sure.

    • Well, that's the thing. Drafting players only for their physical measurables as you are suggesting only really happened during 2024, and X unfortunately has become the poster child for that. To be clear, it's not necessarily about drafting RAS over skill, but RAS over NFL-readiness and/or a solid body of work. Lots of players show skill in college, but those skills don't necessarily translate to the NFL for a multitude of reasons. But, getting back to the main point, to be clear, I believe that our FO is still enamored with physical gifts (who wouldn't be?), but now they're letting Dr. Eric Eager's proprietary system--his "secret sauce" prioritize the players that the Panthers draft, and it seems like it weighs not only a solid body of work, relative to a college career of course, but consistent gradual improvement as evidenced by production pretty highly.
    • Its a good article about how pathetically bad our past drafts ('23 and '24) have been. Building the team in '23 since we weren't ready yet and taking your qb in '24 made so much more sense in hindsight. Ladd McConkey over XL is pretty much a given but not sure it does as much to change Bryce's trajectory as the author suggests.  As bad as '23 and '24 drafts were, the '25 and '26 really give me hope.
