He absolutely had the best game of his career, and until the refs game thing drive it still netted 19 points, which is basically what he’s done his entire career.

if you just want to be helpful about an aberration and think it means he’s going to turn into something resembling what the panthers gave up for him, cool. But I’ve got his whole career backing up how I feel about him. Bryce defenders have one game and narratives.

The dude literally lead us to scoring drives on all but 2 drives and didn't turn it over against a top 5 D. It was the second most points the Chiefs have allowed this year. Not to mention our run game was probably the worst it's been the entire year. It's not Bryce's fault our defense can't stop a nosebleed.

Just weird the amount of hate Bryce is getting today of all weeks. I've seen more hate towards him today than his first 2 games of the year 🤦‍♂️

Oh it’s “scoring drives” now and not touchdowns.

let’s keep moving those goal posts

OL held up for the most part, although a few times Brady got bullied and of course the false starts, that said though, there was generally time, and I think thats what is really allowing bryce to grow.  He is FINALLY starting to trust that his line will actually not let him get destroyed and as such, he's playing with more confidence.  Also, I think his aggression is directly attributable to Dalton.

All in all, FINALLY he looks like a game manager, thats all I wanted to see, but he has thrown in some dots that have have him looking like he can be even more than that.  I keep saying, remember, guys like Dak, Brady, and brees were all game managers to start, then they shed that label as the game slows down and they can use their mind to take over a game.

I dont think its matter of if bryce can step on a field and play pro ball at this point. Can he be good? Can he be elite? That's another questionable discussion that only a bryce stan wouldn't entertain. On a list of options he is still last for me. If I'm starting a team and I get to choose from him Sanders, ward, or maybe stroud. He is still at the bottom.

What has Sanders or Ward done to make you think they're better than Bryce?

He looked legitimately good today. Missed some throws and reads, but made some good throws he hasn’t been making before. I was genuinely impressed overall. If he can continue this upward trajectory, we might not need someone else after all. And lawd knows I’m not someone who is quick to compliment Bryce.

This is realistically the second time he has had a "this is his best game as a pro" moment in nearly two full seasons. That's the definition of an anomaly until we see more of a sample size in the remaining games. We aren't even in Kyle Allen territory yet in terms of sample size.

But to his credit he is showing improvement as a passer within the structure of his game. The issue is can he ever be that kind of QB who will elevate those around him instead of needing everything to go perfectly to just throw for more than one or two touchdowns or lead his offense to 30 or more points? He's done that once in his career so far. And at the end of the day we still only put up 7 points on the board from the passing game today. The team as a whole came to play. That's progress from Canales. That's my biggest takeaway.

Yes. Whether you want to blame drops, playcalling, refs, bryce. The passing game is still questionable. He needs to start putting together games where he can muster more than 1 td threw the air not just from a quick slant that teams will pick up on eventually. Thats what good qbs are capable of.

Up to this point I’d take Teddy Two Yards over what I’ve seen from Bryce every day and twice on Sunday, and I HATED Teddy. But that was two different teams back then. Not really comparable.

Weak armed qb carried by an elite RB and a defense that played its head off

seems pretty similar to me

Where first off... I said if I was starting a team and all were coming out he is last on the list. Secondly, they aren't anomalies as qbs. Nobody has succeeded at bryces stature outside of flutie in case you missed that. And that's not even getting into the other limitations.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
