Hes a rookie.

He needs to buy and use a juggs machine until his hands bleed....

Yep. I’m happy he isn’t Mingo/TMJ level but the body catching has to stop. I’m not going to die on the drop stats but we wouldn’t be talking about his hands if it hasn’t been noticeable.

We can find defensive production for the rest of the draft and FA.

Tmac is that one guy who changes the entire offense. Get him and we don't have to spend big money on a FA WR like Higgins.

If Bryce is the guy you need to go get him 1 more weapon.

Matt Millen used to do that poo, spend all his first round picks on WRs. He is not in the GM HOF, let's put it that way.

If Bryce is the guy he doesn't need the first WR off the board. Get him a 3rd round stud.

Tmac is a top 5 prospect. This isn't reaching on WR just because.

At best Leggete is a #2 who was barely a 1st round pick. We should’ve drafted Lad, but it is what it is. We can’t go into next season with the same WR core especially if T-Mac falls to us. There’s no impact edge rusher that’s worth a top 5 pick. Might as well get a generational WR and sign some solid free agents on defense.

We have half a team now as a result of that the policy you endorse, all offense.

Go and look at what we have given the defense over the last three years. I don't want to do 4 straight years like that. Tell me you do.

It doesn't even matter to me who is good on offense in the first round unless we are replacing the QB and I'm not sure I would want to use that pick to do it for that matter.

edit: Trade back to where the edge rusher is proper value if you feel that way about them.

And one of his only good picks was a hall of fame receiver.

Stopped clock did better lol. Calvin Johnson I guess you mean. Yeah boy, he was an all timer.

I think Millen went 3 straight years with their top pick being WRs. Overall he was terrible. I looked up Johnson's tenure and drsaft spot (#2 overall right behind Jamarcus Russell lol), and his second year they were 0-16 and Millen was gone.

Millen was a really good player as I remember it.

I just don't want to be here a year from now looking at a sorry ass neglected defense again. You don't feed it for 3 years this is what you get. We gave up 30 and thought the defense looked better lol.

I don't think there is much of a chance we go wr in the first round.  If Young continues to play fairly well, our choice will likely dl, lb, or maybe a slight chance at ol.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
