If you seriously think Stroud looks like Bryce did as a rookie then congratulations you have the same bias as those you constantly accuse others of.

Stroud is 4th in passing yards despite all the circumstances he's faced this season.

Here we rejoice like it's Christmas morning when Bryce manages to cross 250 yards passing in a single game.

Whats so hilarious is that levis has statistically been better than bryce recently...so does that mean he is now better stroud and bryce?? Lol...you see how dumb this stuff gets.

He has also played a couple good defenses.

All QBs have limitations

I guess it becomes how much of the offensive playbook is gutted to accommodate those limitations ..and the world shouldn’t have been given up for a game manager

…but, if he can be enough of a game manager for one season, and allow for BPA in this year’s draft, that’s a win to me as the Panthers have so many holes now.  I’m encouraged that Morgan will fill them

im also encouraged that Canales will move on from Young if, and when, appropriate…as HC, it’s about more than just his Offensive playbook

I am glad for Young…no harm in being glad for his improvement.

the tale of  his tape is coming with all but one probable playoff team on the schedule

i would love to see them move on from Evero…even when he had players, there was always a reason they couldn’t get off the field.  Salah, come on down

And still has respectable numbers as a starter while his team is leading the division. What people are doing is comparing this year to the amazing year he had last year and saying he fell off because he isnt doing the exact same thing this year which is ridiculous. Last year was a rare year for a rookie qb you dont see often.  Texans weren't sneaking up anybody this year and it shows, and yet they are still winning. Panther bryce fans need to pipe down.

This is fake news as Trump would say. Nobody’s comparing seasons the nfl pundits ESPN first take si.com and other outlets are stating what we’re saying in this thread it looks like he’s regressing. Now to address your statement their leading their division ummm have you seen their defensive rankings compared to ours. You’re cherry picking which you can’t do with me I’m not a poster who’s here to argue I like thoughtful in depth convos. They have the 4th ranked defense put that in Carolina don’t you think we’d probably lead our division this year realistically. With the offense you’ve seen the last four weeks being average let’s just say with a 4th ranked defense how’d do you think we’d look or how many more wins would we have? You can’t say oh but they still lead their division knock it off it’s bc they have a terrible division and an elite defense. CJ is dealing with issues Bryce dealt with bad Oline and he has weapons but they’ve missed time and when out he’s looked below average having multiple 2pick games, the man’s had a 4 sack game followed by a 8 I repeat 8 sack game that’s a bad Oline leaving him to regress so Panther Bryce fans can’t pipe down we’re just stating facts bc yes they’re winning with a elite defense give a little more context to your statements it Matters!

A Quarterback in this mold is and was always going to take a long time to develop. I think he still has quite a bit to go.

We didn't draft him for his foot speed or arm talent. We drafted him to be the leader and commander of the offensive unit. and he is growing in that capacity on a weekly basis. Being smart and being able to make the correct adjustment and get your team into the right play and being able to get the ball to the right spot is the most important thing an NFL quarterback can do. You can scheme around it, you can simplify, you can try everything, but those skills make a dominant NFL quarterback more than anything else. More than anything else, that's what the Montana's, Brady's, and Manning's do. And those are the ones you want. What we are seeing with Mahomes is a guy that has the brains, unique arm talent, and above average foot speed. He may go down as the greatest. I don't see that in Bryce's future.

He's got a long way to go, but he's showing he's capable of being that game managing, offense controlling guy.

While that type of quarterback is the most dominant, it also takes the longest to get them game ready, and if they don't ever get to a dominant level, they often don't pan out. So it is a risk.

Reason for Stroud's sophomore slump - his oline can't block a beach ball and his receivers can't stay healthy...

I think the Titans had to have about 5 sacks yesterday on Stroud where 1 (if not 2) guys came unblocked on a 4-5 man rush. Looks like Stroud is starting to get happy feet in the pocket also because he knows his oline can't block a soul

    • Ehh, new front office has 2 drafts under their belt -- Salaun draft class was really a horrible class in general, but Salaun has started to show some of his potential and KJ Simpson not bad for a 2nd round pick. This past draft clearly looks like it was knocked out of the fuging park obviously with Kon but also Sion and Kalk already contributing in somewhat big roles for late round picks. And McNeeley has shown potential and lit it up in summer league, seems to be doing well in the G league for a young guy too.      As for this season I think a very realistic goal and outcome of the regular season is sneaking up into a 7 or 8 seed and then winning 1 of 2 play-in games to make the real playoffs. Probably get cooked in round 1 but that playoff experience and establishing that expectation of winning is critical to the development of our young core.
    • Sound write-up MHS, as always.  Agree that the smart move that forward thinking franchises make would be drafting a tackle early, if not for sure in R1, depending on who's there. Based on early predictions we're choosing between Fano and Proctor. No brainer here...Fano all day. Proctor does not move the needle for me. In my mind, Icky has less future here than Brooks does. I love Icky, but he has been average as a top-10 pick, one good year where you saw the potential...and that was this year. He's built like a RT and his strengths are there, but he's always played left. I also feel like part of what has held him back from being elite, was his work ethic. He was known for it coming out, but feel like he fell right at home in Carolina and maybe didn't push himself as hard as he needed to. Throw in a major crucial injury that will take time to recover and a historical low return rate to current form, and the outlook is not great. Fano can play both sides and we need to also plan for Moton's departure. Either way, delaying drafting a tackle early this year will hurt us down the line. Our current OL is overpriced and needs to start adding draftees to start balancing out the inevitable changes coming in the next 2-3 years.  As others have said, maybe Icky can replace Hunt or Lewis in a couple years when he's fully recovered....IDK. Also not a guarantee, but then you have to figure out his contract and it becomes even more clouded.
    • It's past time to just eliminate it in terms of an event. Just do the voting, name the roster, and move on. When you get down to 6th and 7th alternates it's just absurd. It doesn't mean anything.
