It's been a pedestrian year for passing on the whole even for some of the best QB's. The only QB closing in on 4k passing yards with 3 games left is Burrow.

That's why it's important to maintain perspective on what may or may not qualify as progress or improvement for QB's outside the top 15-20 range.

The NFL will find a way to fix this in their eyes. They love their points and casual fans, Defenses wont get the best of offenses for too long before some new rules get implemented.

Any first or second year QB is going to force some passes. I said all along when we drafted Young I'd be fine with him getting picks by pushing the ball downfield if it meant we were still keep defenses honest. It happens to all young QB's and even some of the very good ones are prone to it from time to time. It's all about the bounce back mentality though. And it's still better than putting the ball on the ground.

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
