Oof that was rough

TB attacked the Panthers defense like they started two LBs that were on practice squads... oh wait 😧

That pressure was relentless too. Gonna have to go back to the all-22 and see the individual match-ups

I liked how they tried to keep feeding XL. Him and Bryce getting more reps together will be good for building chemistry.

Other than morale, there's no point in us even trying to win this last game. This last game should be all about our 2nd, 3rd and 4th string players. One drive with the starters and pull every single one of them...

We don't have enough 2nd, 3rd and 4th strung players left to start. What's left standing are practice squad players we dug up around the league. We have to through in what we deem as starters just to field a 53 man roster.

I think the announcers said something like we've used 10 more different players than any other team...

Watching the All-22 and a couple of things are sticking out in this game:

  • The talent deficit. The screen game is often said to be a play where the more talented team wins... and well... night and day between TB and CAR in that department.
  • TB, like the rest of the league, knows that Evero is calling a ton of cover 3 this season to make up for the lack of talent on the backend outside of Woods/Horn. That's why we see Mike Jackson lined up with the other team's WR1 as often as we do.
  • TB blitzed on nearly half of CAR's pass attempts and really attacked the right side. Took advantage of the lack of pass pro from the CAR RBs as well.
  • Icky gave up two pressures that led to two sacks but had a clean sheet otherwise.
  • TB abused the PS LBs that were starting. Irving went off for 190 total yards and had Wooten + Windmon looking foolish.

Something that wasn't really mentioned with Chuba going to IR is his pass blocking. Noticed it on a few key plays earlier in the year. When you're also down Moton, it was a double whammy.

I'm just kinda sad how this team once always had good to great linebackers at our disposal. Morgan can't be happy watching such putrid play.

Good information. You can see how important Taylor Moton is to our team.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
