Since he's come back in he's only played like ass 1 game.  We aren't losing because of young.  That's what I mean by not the problem.

We aren't winning because of him either. Gotta have that from a true franchise QB. Not every single game of course, but more often that not.

Bryce Young took Week 8 against the ferocious secondary of the Denver Broncos to reacclimate to the NFL. Since then, he's been excellent. He is first in big-time throw percentage at 7.6%. No other QB in the league is making these plays at the rate Young is. This is from last week. I doubt his % dropped much with the dimes he was dropping to thielen.  He was pressured on 64% of his drop backs today and still had a respectable game. I wanted him gone as much as anyone on here but he's made vast improvements since he was benched.  He deserves to be the starter next year and we need him to continue to get better if we don't want to wait 5 years to be decent again.

I hate to ask this but I have to because you're like the 4th Bryce supporter to say something similar.

Y'all do realize that wanting him to get better doesn't actually make him better, right?

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
