Ben Johnson doesn't want to be the man in charge. That's why he keeps bowing out of all these coaching vacancies

No, he was just being smart and waiting for the right opportunity to show up.

For an offensive mind like him, there's no reason to take a job that doesn't already have a good QB there for him to work with and set himself up for early success.

Why leave great situation for one where you're likely to get fired after a couple years because of not having a QB?  He's played it smart and I'm sure it will work out for him with whatever job he takes.

While I’m not banging the drum to have him fired, I am fine moving on from Evero if we have a plan.

he was handed an absolute poo personnel group this year and then even that poo group got injured.

if we’re gonna move on, we need to have a plan. Don’t move on for an empty chair.

naw last season, they were interviewing him and turned the job down on his way to washington

Ah...

I mean, anytime you take a head coaching job there's a good chance you're taking over a terrible team.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
