And now for Wednesday's reminder that 2010 is a strange time to live in.

Pete Carroll has started to tweet links to songs in an effort to give fans hints about his draft picks. "Try 2 figure it out!" Caroll writes.

Some of the selections so far include, "Jump Around" by House of Pain, "California Love" by Tupac, "Let the Beat Build" by Lil Wayne, "Back Door Man" by the Doors and "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson.

The logical choice for the last clue: Florida's Carlos Dunlap. One of our Twitter followers suggested it means the Seahawks will trade for Ben Roethlisberger.

We are eagerly anticipating Bill Belichick's draft clue tweets later in the day linking to Kid Cudi, Bon Jovi, and Wrecks-N-Effect.

There are so many jokes that can be made about the "Back Door Man". The Golden Calf of Bristol? Smooth Criminal must mean that Carroll is drafting one of his USC players. California Love might mean he's trading for Matt Leinart. Let the Beat Build? I didn't know Chris Brown played football. Maybe they are trading for James Harrison?

I didn't know there were any Duke players in this draft

It's Jimmy Clausen

He's from California (California Love)

He's a QB, who takes snaps "behind" the center (Back Door man)

And played for the Fighting Irish (House of Pain is Irish/American)

...and maybe Carrol thinks he play's like a "Smooth Criminal"

Makes sense to me...new coach wants a new QB to mold.

Sucks for the Bills.

But Pete Carrol, seriously dude, that's just silly.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
