As long as you're going to punt the most successful quarterback in franchise history, and just about everyone else over the age of 30, you might as well keep the youth train rolling and make a few more bold moves to get the team back in contention.

lol Gantt is still hurt we cut his favorite

If we trade up, it'll be for a WR like Demaryius Thomas or Golden Tate...

They have struck out on every drafted WR in the Fox era....if they trade future picks to move I agree w/ Gantt and it will be defense.

I don't see us trading, I like Chandler's mock of grabbing Lamarr Houston at 48.

I really like Gannt's draft. I do think we trade next year's one. This draft is very deep, and the value at the top of the 2nd is there.

if next years draft will be one of the more weaker ones than in the recent past, it would make more sense to trade it this year than any year before..

Agree. The question is how much value does next year's one have.

Given all the hate that we have been getting in the media, I could see a team thinking our next year first would be a Top 10 pick. I think we will do much better than that next season and be picking in the 20's.

20's pick next year for a 30-38 pick this year (with the strength of this year's draft) is a no brainer for me.

With our needs at WR and on the D-line I can't see us taking a safety with our first pick as Gosselin predicts.

I also don't see us trading up in such a deep draft. Next years 1st round pick will be much more valuable next year when the talent pool is much thinner.

    • I said the conservative play calling was because Canales doesn't think we can win shootouts. Yes, I did say part of that was because of the young, inexperienced receivers and that the OL is better suited for run blocking. I should have also included Young as part of the reason as well but I was responding to the post concerning "young receivers" and Thielens' absence. I am not so enamored with Young that I think all his problems are simply because of the receivers. I do think they overpaid for him and he has not lived up to the cost. He has had his struggles, as does pretty much every rookie qb thrown into a bad situation. But I have seen enough good things to have hope that he continues to get better. The OP is just pointing out how his performance late in the games when the game is on the line is one of those good things.
    • I think it goes both ways  It could be they are used to pocket passers, not someone who constantly has to create throwing zones for himself with pocket movement  point being, whether it is Young or the receivers or the sun or the moon or the wind, can’t win in the nfl without the threat of a downfield attack
