You think the Chiefs just got it like that this year?

You gotta beat the champs when it matters.

Many have tried this year, almost all have failed.

That's one thing you can't underestimate. Almost every single person in that KC organization had been here before multiple times.

Buffalo hasn't.

Absolutely

Lamar's stats gave him a better season, but take Lamar off that team and Henry, the other offensive weapons, and defense still have them competitive with an average QB.  Take Allen off the Bills and replace him with that same average QB and they're not making the playoffs.

Most Valuable Player, not who had the best season

Zay Flowers being healthy may have resulted in a different outcome, although the turnovers...

Bingo. The Bills were basically able to win with a conservative, ball control offensive approach because the Ravens were busy beating themselves.

Exactly not a chance Allen's passing chart looks like that if it had been a back and fourth game, heck the bills were content to run the ball for 3 yards and a cloud of dust tonight.

I didn't realize we had so many KC fans on the board

Honestly, I've been rooting for them all year and would like to see them win the SB.

Spent too much time hating on guys like Brady or Lebron just because they won a lot.  As I've gotten older it's allowed me to appreciate being able to watch the legitimate generational talents and enjoy it instead of hate watching them.  Sure these guys get calls that others don't, but that's been the case with all the all time greats in any sport, and it's not their fault either.

If a player/team has done something to make me hate them, that's different, but I've got no qualms with Mahomes or the Chiefs, so I'd like to see them make history and get the 3 peat.

It's the same reason I'm following and rooting on Wemby in his young career so far.  He's that next true generational player and I'm going to enjoy watching his career unfold.

I am rooting for the 3 peat BECAUSE I hate Brady.

I have a weird back and forth love-hate thing for Brady

Grew up a big Michigan football fan, so of course I liked him before he was drafted.  Then of course HATED him after they beat us and became "Brady"

But then having Gronk be such a key player to their second set of SB's, my favorite non Panther as the 2 years he played at Arizona were my last 2 there so I got to watch his college career in person, I begrudgingly rooted for the Patriots and grew to appreciate his greatness.

Now I hate him again for stealing Olsen's job on the #1 fox crew.

    • Sam Darnold was the 2018 QB. Not Mayfield, Allen, or Jackson. Firing Rhule was the key. Wilks, Darnold, CMC, Rico, TMac, Moore, and Coker would have gotten the job done. Toss in all the extra picks wasted on day one and day 2 project players, and the Panthers have a top defense too.
    • That’s if you draft the wrong quarterback. Patriots aren’t having to do that. They are straight in year two.  I suppose you could argue that they did draft the wrong one and then built like you said.  The difference is, if that were the case, they moved on from their mistake. That’s what I am thinking about that.
    • Yeah. That start to his career was about as bad as it can get. In New York, Meat grinder press corps, of the first degree,    When he came here he was on OC 3 - in year 3.  And people in this fan base that think they are smart, could not take that stuff into account.  Now, most of the smart ones are not Bryce Stans but Bryce gets 4 damned years free pass. At least 3  The fail of the organization AND fan base in general, fuging shamefully short sighted,  And the choking thing, players have to fail before they succeed. With very few exceptions. Last year was really his first meaningful, high stakes game. Okay, he didn’t play well. They learn from that, or are supposed to. You don’t throw out a guy with all those tools and with his rocky did him no favors background for not being perfect right away.  He might suck in the SB, but he proved a ton this year.    If we’d have had any patience he was the guy to use it on, not Bryce Young.
