Luvu / Chinn….. why did we let them go again?

This horse has been so insanely beaten it is ridiculous. We got rid of Chinn because he didn't fit here. Luvu got rid of himself because he didn't want to be here.

If people want to pine after defenders that did want to stay but we let them go, pine after Hassan Reddick.

He didn’t fit here because Evero wasn’t  creative enough to use him in a way that played to his strengths. A coaches job, especially an NFL caliber coach is to put your players in positions that will play to their strengths. Meanwhile Chinn and Luvu are laughing at us while Evero coached the worst defense in NFL history. Sounds like Evero proved them right.

I mean, Chinn was never going to be what we wanted him to be or drafted him to be. He has been a solid player for the Redskins too but his best year has always been his rookie season. He genuinely will likely never be able to hit that level again.

Reddick wanted to leave too remember he was vocally frustrated and expressed that on social media. This has been the story of the Tepper era Panthers.

He stated after the fact that it was not his choice to leave, we didn't want him back.

Idk I think he was trying to mend fences for the sake of the fans here but he definitely wanted to play in Philadelphia wasn't that his favorite team growing up?

But I do recall him venting his frustration toward the end of that season with us. That's just what this franchise does to people unfortunately.

If so it didn't last long. Which, admittedly almost everyone has moved on from him pretty quickly so that may say a lot.

Was sad we couldn't sign Luvu, but still don't really miss Chinn. Dude regressed each year for us after his rookie year and still hard to find a position for him because of his build and terrible coverage skills. He's done well tackling for Washington, but the dude is still ass in coverage

    • I believe Lloyd will elevate not just the whole unit, but also whoever his running mate is. Wallace is still very young, I think he's only 23 with two years of exp now. Cherelus can handle starting, he's just fighting with staying healthy. Kuwatch I think is going to be a contender after a couple week of understanding the system.  I mean Lee will be against..... what nearly 10 NFL-level WRs, he's going to get work and its up to him if he can hang.  I think its fair to expect 12th +/- 3 or 4 spots.  You know this, it boils down to how healthy everyone stays.....cause if dbrown, horn, Lloyd, Michael Jackson, or tervon miss extended time.....no way 10th can be reached. IF all the names above remain haethly, I do think 10th should be the goal. They are a young unit and added talent to a 16th ranked unit. Its time to march forward!!
    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
