Trade a QB please...PLEASE! Its Cleveland all over again.

To compare us to the Browns is laughable. We have a core group. We have an established oline.

Clausen was most definitely the right pick. When there is a top 10 talent still available at the 48th pick, you take the player, regardless of position.

Pike was another value pick.

Talent and competition is a good thing.

You don't trade away a rookie unless ya know ya don't need him. AND you can pick up something of value in return.

P.S. stop blaming the computer.

again...it was the browns. chances for success are much greater here than there just because they are the browns.

I agree w/ you.

I'm just saying there is enough out there to give you an uneasy feeling in your stomach.....but your mind is going to break it down and tell you why you shouldn't worry.

Before Carolina drafted him I am sure there was a good percentage of fans that had Clausen pegged to follow the career path of Quinn

honestly...of all the uneasy feelings i have about things, none of it has to do with feeling like the panthers are following down the same path as the browns.

where did belicheat coach and fail prior to the pats?

this team has never had a franchise qb. who cares if matt moore or clausen don't amount to anything? we'll be on par. not like we're going to be worse off for it.

I forgot that the Panthers were looking to trade their biggest playmakers while bringing in poor coaches.

You can't honestly think Anderson or Quinn were given a fair shot to succeed in Cleveland do you? They kept an aging and getting worse and worse running back for too long in Lewis, they shipped out Edwards, they shipped out Winslow, they shipped out Stallworth.

It would be like Moore having a breakout season this year, and then we get rid of Williams and Stewart. Then, two games into next season we ship out Steve Smith, bench Moore, and then wonder why Clausen isn't doing so hot.

Cleveland is a poorly run organization. Leave it at that.

No one will trade this early....you don't trade low. You develop all 4...build up their stock...and then when the injury bug plagues a QB corp of a team, you drop in and sell them water for 20bucks a gallon....I mean a QB for an outrageous price.

btw just to make you guys feel better, Rip Scher was the QB coach up in Cleveland when they had all those crappy qb's. Heh just food for thought.

He was also the qb coach that got Anderson to have a pro bowl year.

Not his fault the browns sabataged their own success.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
