I'm fine with Warren at 8.  The top of this class is razor thin.  Take an impact player and don't think twice about it.

I would not be mad--I get it--and Khyber has solid reasons.  He'd definitely take the offense to the next level--my concern?  Who do we have to keep the defensive backs from crowding the LOS?  We need a deep threat--and that does not have to be in the first or the draft.  We need a #1, I just do not see them out there this year--and I don't think Free Agency has them

A properly used TE can be the #1 option. See those Brady led Pats teams from a few years ago as examples 1-3.

yea that's where I fall on this, lots of teams appartenly only have ~8 first round graded players this year. If one guy is clearly a better talent just take him and worry about positional value later

The Eagles have drafted better than us and done better than us in free agency.  Although in fairness, they have drafted better than virtually every team in the NFL.

In fairness, we sacked him five times when we played. The difference was that when they didn't sack him, they still played good cover defense, kept him from breaking off major runs, and got some turnovers.  If we are ever going to challenge for a Superbowl, the defense needs to improve across the board.

I have been pounding the BPA drum so I want whomever is the best player at the time we pick (or trade down) but since the question was what is our biggest need, the answer is obviously EDGE (whatever that means). I just don’t see the value there at 8.

I can easily see that ~8-10ish number for first round graded prospects.  There's not much top end talent this season.  I think it's been clear for a minute this class is severely lacking all-pro level players. 

If I had to shoot something out right now, I have around 12 guys as 1sts: 

Hunter, Carter, Graham, Ward, Johnson, Jeanty, Warren, Starks, Grant, Pearce, McMillan, Nolen

Some fringe like Zabel, Morrison, Egbuka, Green, etc.  Not high on the OTs but teams will reach.   

We're in a good position to see who makes the stupid picks ahead of us and land one of the few higher end guys.  Let it fall into our laps and don't reach just because we're all dying for a better Nose or OLB.  

I do think there's a potential IDL and EDGE that could work at 8, but I'm reserving my arguments/cheerleading for now on specific prospects.
