Happy Panther

Recommended Posts

This is a TMZ type site. But the guy is a panthers fan and mentions it once in a while.

Today's reference

I have always been and will always be an Atlanta Braves fan, but as a fan, you have to appreciate an owner who is willing to throw armored trucks of money at players just to win. Unlike Jerry Richardson who heaps untold millions on a quarterback who passes out interceptions like Tic-Tacs and a linebacker who needs a Garmin to find the field (I'm looking at you, Dan Morgan). Or hires a coach who sits on a lead like a damn egg and whose offensive playbook consists draw plays and punts. So basically what I'm saying is, fug you Panthers!

Dan Morgan's voicemail greeting: Hi, this is Dan Morgan. I'm not in right now but if....Hi. This is Dan Morgan. Please leave your name and num...hi. This is Dan Morgan. I'm either way from my phone or I....Hi. This Dan Morgan. Please *BEEP*"

Wow, what did Dan Morgan ever do besides recording 18 tackles in our one and only SB appearance and making the pro-bowl to deserve all the abuse he gets?

I really can't understand why anyone would make light of concussions... Dan got those concussions playing his heart out for us and will have to suffer the consequences for the rest of his life while we sit around and make stupid jokes about it.

I hope anyone who thinks concussions are funny gets one, so they can see just how funny it is.

And Atlanta didn't throw 110 million to Michael Vick and then had to release him when he went to jail. And what about the 70 million they spent on Ryan who right now has the same career passer rating as Moore who is making beans compared to Ryan. Lets see how each does this year and then we can gain additional perspective but I wouldn't be throwing stones at Richardson if I were an Atlanta fan. Everyone talks about how great Ryan is, but the numbers don't support it.

Psst. He was talking about the Atlanta Braves. ;)

Then why are we talking Dan Morgan and why is it appearing on a Panthers forum even during the off season?? I didn't realize Morgan played baseball, LOL.

Dan Morgan didn't either.

I just thought you read "Atlanta Falcons" in that first sentence. I wasn't sure why you started using them as an example. :P

I likely figured even though he said he was a Panthers fan, he is a closet Falcons fan given he is a Braves fan and took a few shots.

And yeah I know a lot of folks are Braves fans and Panther fans. Most just don't take shots at their supposed favorite team like he does.:D

    • no doubt but flip that.   The current system insures that there are "regional" games in the early weeks. maximizing the reach of playoff football.  If all of the WC weekend for a conference took place on the west coast they are reducing the "reach" of their hype machine.
    • Hard to say with London--he never ran--combine or pro day.  Here is what AI says, and it is always 100% accurate: Drake London's 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine was not recorded because he was dealing with a fractured ankle at the time. While he didn't participate in the 40 at the Combine or his pro day, his coach said his 40 time was estimated to be between 4.4 and 4.53 seconds. Some sources also list his 40 time at 4.58 and 4.6 seconds Unless you are running 9s all day, top end 40 speed is rarely reached.  I have always looked at the 3-cone drill.  At his pro day, TMac ran a 6.86--pretty good, actually.  For context, it is faster that Rome Odunze (6.88) who ran a 4.45 40.  Odunze is 6'3" and weighs 216, fwiw, and is considered a very good route runner with no wasted motion.  Mike Evans 3-cone was 7.08.  To put it in a broader context, through 2022, with all NFL prospect 3-cone drills combined, a 6.86 puts TMac in the.89th percentile-  Now consider the fact that he is 6'4" and 220.   We might have something here.  '
