I do not want nor have the energy to start a sanders vs BY topic.....

Heres where Im at, what else is Titans Levi's or colts Arich going give in a trade...... Im no sanders fan, but it wouldn't bug me if caralas/Brandt/tepper/who____ wanted to go another route.....yes its been a QB whirlwind since ...to long.... still Im not sold on the skill and talent of one BY.

I think this is first year in many in which Carolina with have the same HC, QB, and GM. Its been a mess...

Well I don't disagree with you. But that isn't in the cards this season although we should IMO absolutely consider a QB in the mid rounds with some potential just to have on the roster because Jack Plummer is the definition of an afterthought and Andy Dalton while he is a great guy he is simply cooked at this point in his career let's just be honest.

Certainly this year is the put up or shut up year regardless of circumstances. Or at least it should be. I've said all along my concern is this regime led by the Tepper's who have a built in need to save face for pushing for the trade will be willing to accept even marginal improvement as a "win" and seek to explore contract extension options with Bryce. While I like Dan Morgan he certainly is and was a direct part of that as Fitterer’s right-hand man so he also has a key stake in saving face too. I'm just hoping 2025 for the most part is a campaign that will silence any and all doubt and leave very little to be debated. At least then as a fanbase we could come together and end most of these constant feuds over the starting QB at least temporarily. We'll see.

Yeah, also on the most talented team in the country for the most part.

I'd argue that Ohio State + Georgia were more talented overall, but yea that Bama roster was definitely top-10, arguably top-5.

I'd say #3 behind the others listed.

Im right there with you. This is a good-great year for drafting mid-round QBs. Plus if there is ateam that can carry 3 QBs, its the Panthers. It would be good insurance if BY gos awful again or his asking price is spacey. The staff or Dave is a modern QB "guru", let him pick one starting in the 4-5 rounds.

This is literally one of the worst QB drafts in recent memory. Anything above a 6th is a waste.

I was in favor of taking shot at Kyle McCord in the 5th, but he's jumped...BIG time.  He may go as high as late 2nd!  He's projecting in the Milroe/Ewers tier now.

McCord and Shough I get as backups but we don't need a backup. We literally just resigned Dalton.

So expending draft capital on a 3rd QB in the top 5 rounds is not super smart.

I realize that, but this was a while ago when McCord was projecting as a mid day 3 selection, obviously before Dalton re-signed.  Also, I wouldn't take any QB from this draft in second round.

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
