Carolina Panthers Close to Signing Terrell Owens????

I make decision's on the athlete not the person, if I didn't then I would say hey lets trade Steve Smith to the Browns for Jake Delhomme because Jake is a nicer guy and has less off the field issues....but I look at talent, production, then the person when it comes to sports.

If you think that T.O. is not a good football player than you need to go somewhere else, if you think T.O. can not produce, than you need to go somewhere with the other guy, and if you are going to tell a Hall Of Famer that he can not be on your team because he disagreed with his quarterback then you have never played a sport in your life.

Grow Up, except the fact that T.O. would make this team better and just admit you are saying no because you are pretending you are Jerry Richardson not because you actually think he would be a cancer to our team I mean give me a break. If Michael Vick is not a cancer than no one is.

Well, that is great. Cept this isn't about whether or not most fans feel he could contribute as a player. He is one of the best in the game, even though he has lost a step. That being said...

If you think Richardson will give the clear on bringing Owens onto to the Panthers, than I would question how much of a fan you really are, as you don't even know the owners own morals and general thinking. That is what is going to prevent Owens from ever being a Panther. His production isn't going to be it. It's the fact that Richardson will never approve of bringing in a player who has pretty much run himself out of good employment in the NFL. That is what Owens has done, otherwise he'd already be on a team.

Second thing is, if this off season has proven anything, is that this team is going with it's younger players. Even if Richardson would look the other way to allow Owens to wear a Panther Jersey (which he won't), he still wouldn't be signed, just based on their intentions this season.

If you don't like that, than it is YOU who should leave, and find yourself another team. The Raiders sound like they are right up your alley. Go jump on with them while their bandwagon is empty.

This concept has been very difficult for some people to accept and realize. I don't know why, when it is so blatantly obvious.

TO helped so much with Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick's development in Buffalo.

Glad to see you can read where I said not that I want T.O or anything. I just said another solid WR beside smith would be nice to have. And are you really comparing Edwards and Fitzpatrick to our QB's?

again and again it has been made entirely obvious and plain that the panthers intentions for the year do not involve going after some old and/or expensive player. if you think that isn't the case...you can go somewhere else.

walk into the light. there will be no TO here this year. admit it. quit thinking that it can/will/might happen...quit wishing for it. you're just banging your head against the wall. it's an exercise in futility.

TO will not be here. that isn't the direction they have made totally clear in everything they have said or done. they have a youth movement going on. they are going cheap. TO isn't either of those. they are primarily interested in building for the future...TO isn't going to help with that. no more mentoring crap. they will get the future of the team out on the field to get them acclimated. having them sit on the bench listening to TO or anyone isn't going to help them do that.

move on.
