to the Panthers, yay or nay? Is he over the hill or no? Inquiring minds would like a little input.

I would need a price tag. I am down with the player, just needs to be at a reasonable price. That's sort of been the downside of Reddick in general. Always wants significantly more than actual market value.

Not resigning him is one of the worst mistakes Fitterer made. He was better than Burns when he was here.

I understand being wary of signing him for too much money. But he would be a nice addition IMHO

Well, there is just no reason to spend a wild amount of money on an older player at this point. By the time we MIGHT be competitive, he will be nearing the end of his career.

If it's an older, capable player on a reasonable deal(Clowney, AT) then I am all for it. But we should be trying to stay  relatively young and build a core for future success.

I mean right now our core is quite literally just Brown. Maybe Hubbard, Horn, Ikey, Bryce and some of the other guys eventually become that but at the moment he is literally the only core member of this entire roster.

Gotta fix that first.

big fact here.

I remember the excuse as to why- they/fittterererrer/panthers needed all the extra cap space in order to court Watson. I believe even Reddick said so on a pod/YouTube/SM.

Like you said, he was better than BB and we are talking everything the run, being a teammate, etc etc.

He's NFL "old" now but Id still welcome him back on a fair/team friendly deal.

If you could somehow blur out the names and numbers, it was undeniable that Reddick was way better than Burns.  But people just couldn’t accept it because Burns is spiderman or something.

Well, we do need more than one guy. We probably realistically need at least 2-3 DE/EDGE guys. We aren't going to be able to solve that in one draft for sure.

Honestly Im done with Brano and dj johnson. I've waiting and claiming and hoping for Brano to become light spiderman burns, Im just done waiting. Replace both these waste of roster space, right MEOW!!

Id offer Dj wonnum a low key juciy extension, he played great and then wore down. Still young and has the tools, sign him Brandt!!!

Let clowny play out while the draft picks grow for 2026.

Heavy rotate among the OLB/edges.

Bring back brano and or dj Johnson back on PS if possible .

    • It’s definitely a bit of a crapshoot, but Joe covers the team for a living—there’s a baseline expectation that he should have a deep, working knowledge of the roster, positional groups, and overall team needs. That kind of familiarity should come through in the analysis. At times, though, it feels more like he approaches covering the Panthers as an assignment rather than something he’s genuinely invested in. When you read some of the other beat writers at The Athletic, the contrast stands out. There’s a noticeable difference in how deeply they dive into roster construction, scheme fits, player development, and front office philosophy. Their work often feels more detailed, more nuanced, and more connected to the day-to-day reality of the team. That’s not to say Joe doesn’t provide value, but compared to some of his peers, the level of insight and depth just doesn’t always feel as sharp or as thorough as it could be

So which teams are talked about as pulling shockers right now, just a few days out from the start of the draft? Most I’ve spoken with say keep an eye on picks 20, 21, and 22, presently owned by the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Los Angeles Chargers. I’m told cornerback Chris Johnson and linebacker Jacob Rodriguez are in play for the Cowboys with the 20th pick, their second selection in the initial round. Rodriguez is also being spoken about as a possibility for the Buffalo Bills at the 26th pick.
    • Who was better Jon Beason or Jrod???, for college prospect terms in their drafts...   I think its clear and Jon was what 25th?   Jarod does have luke-like traits and that was 9th overall.   I feel Jon had him covered tho....
