Asked about being connected to DK Metcalf and whether the Panthers' offense needs that level of WR at some point, Dave Canales said: "I think we've got that guy. Xavier Legette."

Panthers' D.K. Metcalf pursuit contradicts emphatic Xavier Legette confidence

Honestly for over month. I was meaning to do a troll "Super sleeper WR had a off year on a bad team...." thread that featured Dionte Johnson...... let the poop fly. I didn't mind it either, Ive been looking to use that gif for months. Juan cannot take all of them..

Patriots to trade QB Joe Milton III and 7th-round draft pick to Cowboys in exchange for a 5th-round draft pick. (via Ian Rapoport)

I have a funny feeling that at some point this season there’s gonna be talks around October in November about starting Joe Milton in Dallas

The Pats' turned a 6th round pick into a 5th and a 7th. I guess that's a winning move.

I mean didn't Milton get some snaps and he didn't look like the league was too big?

Dallas......ugh I hate this.... is one of the better drafting teams over the last few years. Just think of their team- dak, lamb, Parsons, martin, diggs, etc. All drafted by them and helped the 12 wins seasons.... They are using the same draft ranks, yes even the one for mingo.... to do all these trades of swap picks. I think this is third or fourth trade for a "bust", but its a tiny cost and the cap for a traded rookie is peanuts shells. I was a big trey Lance fan, they still got 2 years for 4th rounder who could give the same if not less.

I think they will be gambling even more on red flagged players in the draft this year.

Milton doesn't have his SB either, that's on Pats dead cap. So he's is the cheapest you can get for a backup.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
