Yea..he was full of sht... He almost got Watson money because he saw what Watson got. Hope he keeps motoring and not take the Watson route. 2 dudes taking up 100mil a year in cap...Browns will suck forever under Haslam...its not looking good for us either under ownership.

He’s a lock HOF’er and he’s worth every penny.

Remember when we drafted the bookend to Garrett from A&M and he didn't pan out?  Yeah, people (me included) were like this dude's numbers (forget his name) are mid at best and Garrett is getting double teamed a lot.  Seems like his numbers should be better.

*Cue Panthers scouting department*  This is our guy!!! ---> Flop.

If I had $100 every time a player said they want to go to a contender only to stay for a wad of cash,  I'd have more money than Myles Garrett.

All it took was a meeting with the owner and alllllll that BS about demanding and sitting out disappeared. I understand this is common I just hate the lies. Everyone does it too, such a fuging joke.

It's not really a joke, it's posturing. Ask the Hurricanes how that feels with that cuck Rantanen.

I have heard the fans have turned on the canes ownership after treating him like a god. I should keep up with the canes more, good for local economy...

Update me, I miss the whole reasons, just overheard fans talking in a restaurant. They seemed pissed too, but I don't know the real story.

Individually, sure. But man, unless the Browns can fall backassward into a good QB on a rookie contract they're cap fuged hard for the foreseeable future with damaged goods Watson and now this.

I bet he hasn't seen Watsons contract or the recent effect, its one huge whopper of a cap problem and they just passed it onto the next GM&HC.

I keep telling myself "sure the Panthers are royal fugups, but at least they didn't trade for watson or wilson"

Even tepper after years of telling employees that Watson would be a panther, backed out once they demanded a fully guaranteed 1/3 of a billion. Thanks the gods!!

Oh 100%. That team is 100% toast. Absolutely head scratching move since they could have traded him for some MAJOR draft capital. Imagine him in Buffalo or Washington.

He himself is worth every penny they doled out for him, but it ends up hurting more than helping.

1. obvious cap implications

2. He is so dominant that they will win 2-3 more games each season than they would without him, robbing them of a top 5 draft pick. How strong is that. He is such a game wrecker that he alone virtually kills their shot at a top 5 pick.

Yep. Given their situation they honestly should've traded him. They need to be trying to acquire talent on rookie contract while they work through this Watson contract anchor around their necks. They need draft capital on top of draft capital.

    • Well if we are being realistic doesn't what you just lined out already tell us where we are at? If the rookie UDFA kicker was the savior more often than not and we had a bottom 5 offense despite us having a #1 pick behind center who was billed predraft as a mini Payton Manning is that just going to magically change trajectory overnight with a tougher schedule added in? If we are going to repeat as division champions then it will be with the defense doing the heavy lifting. So keep adding to it.
    • Everyone keeps arguing all these teams have great TE's that made them successful. THATS BS! What makes those teams great is QB play and we don't have that. So again even getting a NON-INLINE TE who can run a fast 40 time isnt going to get us anywhere without competent QB play consistently. Which we don't have by a long shot. So honestly all these great teams have a TE argument doesnt hold water to me.  Mahomes would be nasty without Kelce, Lamar would blow you away without Andrews, does it help? of course any weapon will help but only if you have someone making those correct reads week to week. When we have that then I'd be all in on a game breaking TE but unfortunately we are stuck with one of the most inconsistent starting QB's currently in the NFL.  Not to mention all the TE's mentioned are COMPLETE TE's not just a receiving threat with drop issues which Sadiq does. Argue all you want but nothing will change that fact other than getting a consistent QB week to week in a Panthers uniform which doesnt seem to be happing anytime soon.
    • They don't have guidelines for hand size for the backup QB.
