Looking to see if our defensive ends can get a little pressure on the QB.

Also interested in some scheme stuff, which I know they won't tip their hand much.... but would like to see if we're going to press a bit more in coverage since we have safeties that can cover and good corners.

Agree with Zod....Jarrett better make plays or LeFell will have his locker.

Preseason game 1. Lots on the line for lots of players.

If Jarrett can come out and make some plays this preseason he makes the team. If not, he is cut. Its pretty simple. There is no point in keeping him around.

I doubt Sutton will play much, obviously Stewart won't and maybe not even Goodson. Most of the running will be on Fiametta and Vaughn. I bet we even see a bit of the goal lone rhino package they had in camp with these two, looked pretty effective.

Thoughts on the game? Who will you be watching?

Ill be watching my Panthers and my Bengals ..

i will keep a close watch on trent guy , and the linebacking core .. ill also be trying to keep an eye on our safety situation and see how well they work together because you'll remember martin replaced godfrey last year and worked with harris .. now vice versa should be interesting

I know the game is on ESPN, but does anyone know if the local ABC affiliate will be broadcasting it as well?

I just wonder who starts a WR beside Smith. If Jarrett only has to come out and make 3 catches the whole night Im not gonna be happy. After that those I am ready to see what the 2s and 3s have.

I think Moore, LaFell and Jarrett will start, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Wallace Wright in the mix as well.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
