Fox runs the stalest offense in football.

Awesomeness!!

I can see some merit to this thread. Sometimes it seems as if game planning is non existant with this team. We go into each game with the same approach and the same style of offense. Rarely do we make adjustments when our game plan isn't working, we just continue to repeat the same failing tactics. I would like to see us take advantage of a defense's weakness more often than just trying to force our will against a strength of the opponent.

The whole concept of our offense is broken is we're unable to run the ball. If a team is able to bottle up our run game then the entire result begins to fly out of control... Tell me if this sounds familiar when rememebering Panthers losses past...

Run game stopped.

Passing game ineffective.

3 and outs constantly.

Tiring Defense.

Loss.

I just think we need more than one game plan to win.

What we run is 4 or 5 basic sets. Then we run multiple plays out of each set. The point is to use the same set to make the defense think it is exactly the same play and then do something different.

Maybe it is working because you certainly bit on it!!.

Just kidding........................

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
