After Day three.... New draft strategy?

I'm convinced that the Jets take him the selection before our's. 😞

I think that they probably want a QB before then and might go with Dart.

I know who they picked up but really...

Hoping they don't grab Warren though.

Edge or LB  1

Edge LB or DB at 2

WR at 3

Taking Tet or Warren at 8 would be the biggest mistake.  TEs take time, and Tet won against inferior defenses.  He will face his best competition vs the worst coverage in the NFL, I don't feel it will translate like some think.

in the last 5 drafts, pretty much all the first round TEs were ready to contribute as rookies.  Bowers and Pitts had 1k rookie seasons.  Kincaid and Hockenson were both ready to compete right away.

Warren IMO projects to be ready to make plays as a rookie pending the landing spot.  I think if you want him to make plays, he will pretty quickly.

I also dont think Canales values the TE position the way panther fans do

Now I can accept that.

But I still contend, an ideal Bryce Young O and a the standard O Canales has been involved with......aren't the perfect marriage.  So something had to give.  I would think catering to Bryce more vs expecting Bryce to fit the mold of his prior QBs is the way.

lol, you know it's just easier to say you know nothing about T-Mac than to spout dumbass stuff like "he won against inferior defenses"

But hey, at least you openly tell people you don't know what you're talking about so it's easy to dismiss what you say.

In 15 games against ranked teams he had 90 rec, 1,227 yards, and 9 TDs, with 4 of the 15 games during his Freshman year when he only had 205 yards.  So he still had over 1k yards in the 11 games against ranked teams his final 2 years.

Yes, I know there is a difference between ranked teams and good/bad defenses, but I'm not going to spend the time to look up the defensive ranking of every team he played in his 3 years, this is just quicker and easier, but it's far more evidence against your point than in support of it.

All of which is also to just ignore that he was almost never single covered this past season, had horrible QB play, horrible coaching and play calling, with no other offensive weapons to take defensive attention away from him, and he was still 3rd in the nation in yards.  Even if it was against inferior competition like you think, he still had EVERYTHING stacked against him and put up elite numbers.

I cant take anything you say about McMillan seriously because you have over inflated him to be something he isn't. He hasn't proven anything at the college level to make me think he can produce in the NFL.

I think Warren is better than all of them besides Brock.

Uh, what now?!?!  Just doubling down on nonsensical statements?

In 2023 he was 4th in the nation in yards and 9th in receptions, then followed that up in 2024 by being 3rd in Yards and 14th in receptions, not to mention all the absurd highlight reel plays he's made over his career.

Was a 2nd Team All P12 as a Sophomore and then Consensus 1st Team All American, 1st Team All Big 12, and Biletnikoff finalist as a Junior.

Say you have specific concerns that you feel will limit his upside in the NFL and keep him from being a blue chip player, at least that would be a fair statement/viewpoint to make.  But to say he hasn't "proven anything at the college level to think he can produce in the NFL" is just an utterly absurd statement to make.

He has a very high floor, even if he's someone you personally don't see being a Top 10 WR in the league (which I honestly think he will be), his floor is still going to be as a Top 25 WR.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
