Panthers on Tap featuring Mike Kaye

Good listen. I appreciate Mike pointing out that the Milton Williams situation wasn't a debacle but instead overzealous reporting.

I also appreciate him pointing out that the HC and OC are both former WR coaches. If we don't believe they can develop WRs then what are we doing?

Also lots of cold water being dumped on having to get a WR1 this year.

Similar takeaways.  I think there's cold water being dumped on any receiving targets WR/TE in R1/2.

Now, if someone like Noel or Bech lasts to 57, that could be a fun choice, but I'm beginning to expect mid-to-later WR/RB/TE adds...seems primed for defense or trenches with first 2-3 picks.

Why does Kaye downplay Wharton as only a rotational pass rusher when he played 61% of the snaps to Milton Williams 48%.

Wharton outproduced or matched Williams in sacks, tackles, tackles for loss, and qb hits.

I'm fine if it plays out that way I just hope we don't go into the draft with any firm blueprints. If a pass catcher is the BPA then draft him.

I've said it a few times-

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
