The preseason is just that, the preseason. Everybody has been talking and writing things like it’s December, and it’s still August. Do we have things to improve on? Absolutely. But at this point we’re still 0-0 and looking forward to a good showing in Week 1.

We are young offensively and I think we were put in a lot of tough situations in the preseason. Guys can learn from both good and bad things, so we have a lot to learn from and turn to our advantage heading into the regular season.

In the regular season we’ll be spending a lot more time game-planning for the team we’re playing, so that also will be beneficial for us

That's an interesting statement.

a lot of commentators have discussed the change in preseason ball.....and the fact teams don't run vanilla defenses anymore. Some coaches recognize it and some aren't changing with the times. Plus, ST has screwed the offense a few times.

I think he's just referring to the blitz-heavy defenses they've faced thus far. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Im not going to get into a full analysis of what he said because all of that isn't important. This was all I needed to hear:
