Why We Are Going to Kick Tampa Bay's Ass

It's not even gonna be funny what's gonna happen next Sunday. This is going to be one of those 63-9 kinda games. Josh Freeman? No Antonio Bryant? And that same broke running game they have against Dan Conner and Greg Hardy?

I think Lafell and Jarrett both score a TD this game and double trouble collect over 200 combined rushing yards (assuming stewart plays any). Did you see Ronde Barber's interception? Old man ran out of steam fast.

Oh wee mayne, don't say I didn't warn you.

After yesterday I'm not sure where this sudden burst of confidence comes from. The Bucs sure aren't the Saints, but neither are we. We've got problems across the board.

I believe if Clausen starts it will force the coaching staff to call more running plays, which is our recipe for success. Our O may not be a juggernaut, but they will do enough to keep the defense fresh. This will make our defense look like they did all preseason and the first half of the Giants game. Freeman will get mauled. And if Clausen can get in a rhythm early, it may very well inject some life into the offense, much like Vick did for Philly. Stranger things have happened.

However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
