Golden Tate Trade?

Now that Clausen is officially the starter, and Carolina lacks WR help. What better way to get instant results than to trade and get Golden Tate. It would probably take next years 1st to get him. but with the chemistry that tate and clausen have, then you add smith to that. I just got goose bumps.

If we wanted instant results we would have played a vet.

this is for the future

I would much rather trade one of our RBs either to San Diego for Vincent Jackson or to someone for a first round pick to draft one of those fancy SEC WRs like Julio Jones or Green from Georgia. Then with our likely high first round pick take one of the many good DL that will be in this next draft. Its a shame we don't have a second round pick because this next draft will be loaded with defensive studs.

    • You are confusing me now with the 2 at the same time stuff.   The question we should be asking is simply what are his prospects 2-4 years down the road?  Does this prevent him from returning to his pre injury level or will it leave him degraded? And if yes then how much?  In a best case we may be able to get a handle on that by November/December, if he heals up cleanly and rehabs with no setbacks. Which is helpful for next year and maybe beyond.
    • Brooks … was that but may no longer be that. After 2 ACLs he is a lottery ticket. We don’t know.  If we ever did.  If we want to be secure in what we can put at RB, we are gonna have to address it as if he isn’t there.  Let’s say we do address it successfully and he shines and then we are overcrowded. Trade deadline, someone can move out.
    • It was sarcasm.  There's no guarantee for the next three. Bussi should have started the first 3 games with a day off in between and let Freddie have the last game of the trip which is a b2b. Much better chance of coming away with 6 of 8 points rather than beings odds-on favorite to get 4 and Saturday night is another crap shoot with Freddie in net.
